bobbybParticipantWhat ever happened to this guy. I know he got injured in last years tourney, did he ever recover. I think he was very underrated. I thought that if he didnt get hurt that WVirginia was gonna advance.

Allen_Iverson_3ParticipantButler didn’t actually play a game in the D-League because he was recovering from his injury. He was signed by the Spurs ("March 25 • San Antonio signed forward De’Sean Butler and placed him on the inactive list." said NBA.com) and then directly assigned to the Austin Toros, a bit like what Dallas did with Beaubois:

You can see on his playerfile that he didn’t play a game.
Personally, I liked the player when he was at West Virginia and I feel for him because had he not been so seriously injured, he was projected to be a mid to late first-rounder.
