marcusfizer21ParticipantNever, as Prince says, is a mighty long time. [Derrick] Rose said "never." As in he is never leaving Chicago. … "I’m never [leaving]," he said, before punctuating that statement a few seconds later. "Never." Rose is a hometown Chicago boy, who left for a year to go to college in Memphis and is back home. He doesn’t want to leave. But in this era of free agency, never can be a very long time. Still, Chicago fans, you have to be happy with where his heart is.

llperezi wonder if this is a kind of dig at lebron. Like, "dont worry guys, im a local, im gonna stick it out through thick and thin. I will never betray you or stick a knife in your back."

marcusfizer21ParticipantI put quote and unquote there just to make sure… Because in terms of loyalty, there is none in sports… But I like where Derrick Rose’ heart is… His ego was and will never be as large as LeBron’s…

llperezi hated derrick rose in college. He went to play for the enemy in john caliapri and possibly cheated to get in. He then knocked my bruins out of the final 4. But since then, he has become one of my faovrite players in the league. I love his game and enjoy rooting for him.

duhrant35ParticipantLeBron is not from Cleveland. Akron and Cleveland are two competely different cities.

Russell0WestbrookParticipantWhy would he? He is the face of the franchise in his hometown not to mention a MAJOR market city who would leave?

DanEboyParticipantIt was a total shot at LeBron….and you gotta believe that he really didn’t want LeBron or Wade coming here. He is a leader, has been since 8th grade.
This is Rose’s team.

d-grizzlyParticipantThis is a business and of course he would say that if asked now. Most of these guys want what’s best for them and their family, and if that means leaving, well, that’s what they will do.

Cusemen727ParticipantOf course this is a jab at LeBron, and I do believe he is telling the truth saying he will never leave Chicago, I’m sure he feels very strongly that way now, but say in 10 yrs when hes a top 3 PG in the league if not the best and hasnt won a title, who knows what he’ll do. And people being all technical saying LeBron was from Akron and not Cleveland, I guess technically hes not from Cleveland, but its the same thing pretty much.
