aamir543ParticipantIn the waning seconds of the Bulls Hawks game 1, D Rose tweaked his right ankle. His ankle collided with Jamal Crawford’s as he was defendign him in the final 5 second. He came up hoping, but stayed standing, and it looks like he walked outon his own power, but he was still hobbling. D Rose is a competitor, and I am certain he will play, but how effective will he be?

DanEboyParticipantHe has said that being the type of player, and position he plays, an ankle sprain doesn’t hurt all that much. Once he starts playing on it, it gets kind of numb and he doesn’t feel the pain until after the game.

mikeyvthedonParticipantBut I think he probably gets a shot and is alright to play on it. Everyone does it, especially during the play-offs.
One of the funny stories I heard last year was that Phil Jackson took a picture of Willis Reed getting a shot before the famous game 7 in which he made an inspirational appearance on a bum ankle. You do not really think about this being involved, but it is fairly commonplace. The after effects are awful, but if you have a chance to win in the present, you do not really think about it.

OhCanada-ParticipantHis ankle has been tweaked since Game 4 of the Indiana pacers series. He probally rested it and assumed it was fine, got a bit too comfortable. Derricks main attribute which helps all of his skills become much more effective or elite is his athlitisism, the slightest tweak could throw of his concentration and offset his game. The Bulls need him to win.

raybeasParticipantguarding that close down 8 with under 5 seconds left? Stupid play for a guy who already had tweaked his ankle. He looked like a guy who couldnt pass the SAT on that play.
