ready4netsParticipantI’d been watching some Favors clips and looking at his numbers. To me it looks like he will be very similar to Kenyon Martin. Anyone else feel the same?

Bison 49ParticipantTo a degree, but Martin was a meaner dude.

Raef LaFrentzParticipantI agree with Bison. They have a very similar skill set, although Favors has an advantage in wingspan. Hopefully Favors is able to come close to his ridiculous ceiling.

AllDayyyParticipantMartin was much more of an explosive athlete than Favors, before he broke his leg and the microfracture(s). K-Mart was sooo filthy in college, you wouldnt believe how hard he beasted people, it just wasnt fair. Cinci was the tits back then. I think Favors will be better than K-Mart, but just because of the injuries Martin went through.

sheltwon3ParticipantKenyon Martin can shoot pretty well from the perimeter and I don’t know if Favors can do that just yet and also Martin was decent off the dribble. Kenyon Martin is actually more versatile than people give credit.
He did not deserve that contract though but he is still a solid 2nd option on most teams but is pretty much a 3rd option and sometimes 4th on Denver.

Champzilla21ParticipantYeah Martin was a freak back in the day and he could guard allmost every postion, i dont see favors ever doing that so i dont really see the comparison unless ur looking at athleticism wise. Also martin looks awkward in the post while favors looks alot smoother. Plus Kenyon can shoot that deep ball even random three pointer while i never see favors doing that nor should he.

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantKenyon didn’t really develop his jumper until he had a few NBA seasons under his belt. He also was 4 years older than Favors as a rookie.

stanford hoopsi think he could be. he will learn to hit the jumper like martin but he doesnt have that meaness like kmart and hes not as explosive in games. he is longer though and younger then when kmart came in. he’s no amare as some people claimed though
