Derrick Brown

I would love to see the Knicks go after Derrick Brown. He reminds me alot of Wilson Chandler but tougher. Good all-around game with size and strength.

Thoughts?

Im very high on him as well.

Im very high on him as well. I really hope the Raptors grab him, he is such a good talent. Stupid move by the Bobcats. Maybe he voiced his opinion about not getting minutes, to be honest I thought he would get time before Henderson.

If Bryan Colengelo does not acquire him....The petition will begin!

He's quiet good. Reminds me

He's quiet good. Reminds me of when Micheal Redd was in Milwaukee behind Ray Allen, not too many people knew how good he was except alot of teams in the NBA wanted to get him.

I believe Brown is a FA this offseason, would love to see him as a rebounding small forward for the Knicks off the bench

NO! Hes coming here now! You

NO! Hes coming here now! You guys arent tealing another player.

Honestly thou, at least end the season here. What place in the entire NBA would give him a better oppurtunity to showcase his skills. We have James Johnson playing 30-mpg as a starter for us right now lol. If I was Toronto Id give Brown a quick talking to, sign him, and have Brown, Johnson, amd Weems compete for a spot on the roster. I bet Brown wins....

You can have Brown, I would

You can have Brown, I would love James Johnson then!

I think Toronto is alright honestly, I want Toronto to do two things:

Go back to the original jerseys

Get a point guard

Derrick Brown

Has no real position, which was his issue coming out of college, and the main reason he doesn't get PT consistently. He still doesn't have a great perimiter shot nor does he create his own shot effectively enough, so he's rendered pretty limited offensively. His ballhandling is sloppy and that's the biggest thing holding him back. With that said he is a very good athlete and is capable as an energy player off the bench. He is a FA at the end of the year, but I fully expect Charlotte to retain him.

Thats not true at all. He had

Thats not true at all. He had one game this year, early in the year too where he had 9-points, 7-rebounds, 4-assists, and I think 2 steals and 2 blocks. He has alot of skill that is just waiting to emerge,.

Pretty much everyone in the NBA

Is capable of a good game here and there. It's about doing it consistently and efficiently. So far, Derrick hasn't shown the offensive development yet to garner a lot of playing time, but without Larry Brown holding him back, maybe he can emerge a bit through the end of the year.

I thought he was placed on

I thought he was placed on waivers? Then how could Charlotte retain his rights and wouldn't he be an FA now?

I am so happy the Knicks

I am so happy the Knicks picked him up off of waivers. Derrick Brown will turn heads if D'Antoni gives him minutes. He is very long and compares to Blake Griffin in measurements and athleticism.

As for having a position, I compare him very much to Jeff Green. Bit of a tweener forward but I think he can effectively play between Amare and Melo as a glue guy.

I hope he gets some minutes against cleveland tonight with Turiaf being out. He can show something against fellow young forwards on the Cavs.
