How? What has DWill Done?

I just don't see him being that grerat or important, as a PG will he be the best player on your team & lead them to Finals. No. As the best on his team with Complimentary players or Maybe 1 other SStar Melo i believe could lead a team to a ChampionShip. He's only 26 & about to hit his prime. I think Melo is a rare Commodity & there are only a few 2 PG's i would take over him. If DWill is/or was better than Melo why did the Big Russian not go after him when he 1st bought the Nets. He (DWill) is plan B. What do they have on there roster now. With the right mix of players you can win with any PG (DFisher,SCassell,RHarper,JPaxson). The only time you go googly eyes over a PG is when you have a Nash/CP3/Rose/Wall.

Dwill put up good number but

Dwill put up good number but he is overrated. Anyone watch him play know that he turn the ball over way too much in close game

Jazz

They run very few pick and rolls compared to the average team. In fact, I believe that they have run the fewest pick and rolls in the league for a number of years running.

I like the deal from both

I like the deal from both team's sides, the Nets get a franchise level PG and so missing out on Melo wasn't such a big hit. He can make Brook Lopez an even better offensive C and they can build around those two. These Russian Billionaires don't mess about they want success. Will they target D-Will's hulked up lookalike Blake Griffin in a few years. Iggy would beagood signing as pointed out and even Z-Bo could help shorter term although Lopez and Z-Bo would lack frontcourt defence somewhat.

Utah have lost their franchise player but have got two former top 5 picks in Favours and Harris and a likely top 10 pick this year which could come up in the lottery. Jefferson and Millsap are still there under long term deals, AK47 expires this summer and creates cap space or can be resigned for a much lower deal. They also have Gordon Hayward ( and his hot sister!) to develop as well as Favours and another likely high draft prospect this year whilst Harris, Millsap and Jefferson form the core. Harris is no way D-Will but he can run a point fairly well and the new Head Coach can work with the new roster.

This just about blew my mind

This just about blew my mind when I saw this. The Bulls definitely need to fill out their sg spot quick, because I'm positive more deals will be done.

I will say this I am glad New

I will say this I am glad New York got Melo but Deron Williams to NJ trumps that because it came out of nowhere. I am sure no one saw this coming. That is some straight G type stuff. Cleveland still sucks though and have to be hating life watching other teams that were not that good make moves to insure they will have a future and never wind up worst than them.

Great pickup for the Nets and

Great pickup for the Nets and not a bad pick up for the Jazz. I think both teams won. The nets have a good chance to sign Dwill since they will have enough money to offer him the max and the owner is very aggressive as far as getting players. As far as this deal coming out of no where, it didn't. Like i said before there are many deals that are talked about that the public doesn't know about untill it actually happens.

I guess this proves that

I guess this proves that Williams pushed Sloan out and the Jazz were tired of his act.

I hope Williams is ready because Avery Johnson won't take his sh*t either.

So if Dolan threw in Mozgov

So if Dolan threw in Mozgov at the last minute to land the Melo deal just so he could win the Owner to Owner competition with the Big Russian (which if you read yesterday's papers is apparently a real and personal rivalry) and then THE VERY NEXT F..CKING DAY the Big Russian trumps him. How does that make Dolan feel? The dude is a loser and unfortuneately New York is stuck with him.

That is until the Nets come to Brooklyn. That is going to be hot.

all I can say

all I can say is... the situation for the Nets is very interesting... They had Jason Kidd from 2001-2008, now they have D-Will taking the same responsibility... I am very excited to see what he can do for the New Jersey Nets... The way the Jazz handled this was really amazing... I'm impressed about not turning this drama into a 1 year affair...

Would the Knicks have gone

Would the Knicks have gone after D-Will if Melo had gone to New Jersey I wonder?

A big rivalry between the Knicks and the Nets will be good for the NBA, the West is still stronger in depth but you could say the top of the East is now stronger than the top of the West.

Dwill

The big russian pulled a gangster move , being from brooklyn im loving it already Lets Go NETS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Imo ill take a top 3pg that can drop 30 and give me 12 dimes then a sf who gives me 40 and 8 boards
Now for me with this kinda potential im saying to myself when comparing ..
Who plays better defense ..dwill
Who is youger ..dwill
Whos body just looks like in a cpl of years with the style of play that each player plays just look like
You soon will start hearing .....achy back...sore foot ....and those kinda problems .......mello
Just always looks likes he is LUMBERING. Am i the only 1 who sees this ?
With all that being said
Lets be honest here .....

Had donnie walsh known that dwill is available .......i think he would have gone after dwill instead of mello because
Dwill is a better fit to play with amare ......we seen how mello plays with another 40 plus scorer do we have to be reminded ?

If the nets could snag iggy and Z-bow ah man id love this move
