I know the other three freshman point guards have been gaining a lot of traction over him lately but he’s averaging 19/4/6 while shooting 45/40/80. He had 16 dimes his last game and now he’s leading the ACC in assists. A lot of concerns about his shooting but it looks like he’s found his shot. DX still has him going second behind Fultz but this site has Ball, Fultz, and Fox ahead of him.

And of course I think everyone has seen his recent highlight dunk. Very Westbrook/Francis like.

IMO smith has the best chance to be a teams franchise player similar to Westbrook where fultz and somewhat ball can be apart of a championship core of that makes any sense. Still would prefer him to ball for my sixers but because of fit fultz is number one on my sixers board!

The next bigtime PG prospect is William McDowell White.

He has a very similar game to Lonzo Ball and just signed a Pro Contract with the Sydney Kings in the Aussie League.

His feel for the game is on another level compared to Dennis Smith Jr who reminds me of Steve Francis.

As you can imagine, I’m better suited to workplaces with less censorship.

I cannot see Fox going over going ahead of him, but I think Lonzo and Fultz have more potential.

Lonzo and Fultz have been playing above expectations. Fultz literally has no visable weekness besides maybe defense. Lonzo’s passing, shooting, and defense are top notch for any prospect. They are both shooting over 50% which is especially impressive for Fultz since he’s on Washington.

Smith and Fox would #1 over John Wall if they were in college at the same time as him, but because Fultz and Lonzo are so special, they don’t look as impressive

With Ball, Smith or Fultz you really cant go wrong whichever player you choose. Just depends what your looking for. Fox is a bit behind but only due to a lack of shooting abillity the rest of his game is phenomenal.

when he leaps & when he drives.

I know he started slow but the college game is So different from the Pro’s. The Pro game is much more free flowing & dynamic & Smith Jr’s skill set is Perfect for the NBA

I luv all the Mock Drafts like evetyone else but those of us on sites like this All understand that until the private workouts occur after the Draft Lottery every Mock is just a best guess.

Dennis Smith Jr is built to dazzle in private workouts. A team can improve a player’s shot at the Pro level – Unibrow Dacis had his Entire shot reconstructed. But there’s no one on God’s green Earth who can turn an average athlete into what Dennis Smith Jr does naturally.

Smith is an elite athlete and possibly the most athletic of the guys near the top of the draft. Outside of Josh Jackson all the guards in and aroundn the top of the mocks have slightly different skillsets so a lot will depend on what a team is looking for.

You have Lonzo – probably the best creative PG in the draft, Smith is the athletic freak who will be a highlight reel in the making everytime he plays, Fox the slighter, nippier player who is a steal waiting to happen and Fultz the bigger guy who has that star quality auora.

Personally I’d put Fox a little bit behind Lonzo, Ball and Smith. At this moment I’m a bit higher on Ball and Fultz but I could see Smith being the sort of guy who could do crazy athletic things on court in a workout and wow Front Offices. Also a team might see Fultz and Smith as possible superstars who could carry a team whilst Lonzo would maske existing players better and a team looking for a superstar might consider Smith more for that reason as he’d be the sort of player that fans would love.

Smith for all his explosiveness and off the chart athletic ability does have a good fundamental skill set and is a good creative PG which can be developed allied to a strong build. So I could see him being the sort of player who could refine his game down the line if he loses a bit of his athletic edge so I’d not have so many worries about how his career could go long term.

I’d expect him to go top 5 with an upside of being in the top 3.

Bumping this because DSJ just got a triple double tonight. 27/11/11 and 5 steals to boot
