Admit it – you wanted to see Sacramento Kings big man DeMarcus Cousins step up to the mic and unleash an R&B album.

But alas, it won’t be happening as Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports leaked what many of us suspected – Cousins’ R&B album was nothing more than an early April Fool’s Day joke.

In what might have been an early April Fool’s prank, Kings say that DeMarcus Cousins is not putting out a R&B album called, “Boogie Smooth.”

Cousins posted a picture of his new album (full artwork an all) on his Instagram account Sunday evening complete with his ‘Boogie Smooth’ moniker and it appeared many believed Cousins was actually branching off into the entertainment world.

But after Spears let the cat out of the bag, Cousins himself confirmed that it was nothing more than an early joke – though did suggest if he attempted it, he’d be more successful than Shaquille O’Neal (Sacramento Kings minority owner) andChris Webber (Sacramento Kings legend).
