flybobbyflyParticipantthe new mock has him going to the pistons with the 7th pick.
i can not imagine this guy being passed up by 6 teams! they even have patterson going above him.
does this seem a little bit ridiculous to anyone else? i have him definitely in the top 40 - Posted on: Tue, 06/01/2010 - 9:25am #324764
Mavs41Participantno because those teams already have a center that are in devlopement
Wizards-McGee
Sixers-Dalembert
Nets-Lopez
T’Wolves-Jefferson
Kings-Hawes
GSW-BiedrinsOut of that group the Sixers need a center but won’t pass on Turners and the GSW don’t a slow out of shape center, plus the Pistons need a center and Cousins will score a lot because no one else could score on that team so he would put up huge numbers

burningfloodParticipantDalembert is useful as an expiring. If Turner weren’t a better player, it’d make sense for the 76ers to draft Cousins.
Jefferson isn’t a true 5, so drafting Cousins lets the T-Wolves slide him over to the 4.
Hawes is better suited coming off the bench; he’s the reason why they’d consider Monroe, so they’d consider Cousins also.
Biedrins shouldn’t be the reason why GS doesn’t draft Cousins. He’s the BPA.0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/01/2010 - 9:49am #324785
flybobbyflyParticipantmavs41 of all those centers you listed lopez is the only one that would make sense to pass up cousins for. All those other players besides jefferson, shouldnt even be starting for any team who has any intention of trying to make the playoffs. cousins is legit and will easily be on the all rookie first team and in rookie of the year talk.

lalailaParticipantin my opinion there is no way teams pass on Cousins JUST because of Biedrins or Hawes in their rosters.

mds0549ParticipantJefferson needs to be at 4 again, he isn’t a true center. Either he or Love will be gone on draft night.

T-WOLF FANParticipantThe wolves need to do something to improve their team. I don’t see many teams willing to trade for Jefferson right now though. He hasn’t been the same player since surgery. The only way we get someone to take jefferson is to throw in a draft pick or two.

ajk004ParticipantDarko and Hollins started because the Wolves realized Big Al at C and Love at PF doesn’t work. Al may slide over to play C in an occasional rotation or two, but don’t expect to see him at the 5 regularly if he’s still on the roster this fall.

sacphil_08ParticipantI’ve said it all along. Cousins is by far the best big in this draft and the past few drafts. Honestly I think Philly would be great for him as I see the possibility of Evan turner and igoudala not working out and iffy being traded. Cousins would give them an interior presence and you could even start dalembert alongside him and they’d have 2 trees down low like the lakers. Iffy has the potential to be at least a top 15 player under the proper tutilege. Maybe Collins will get him there maybe not. As a kings fan though I’m hoping cousins slips and that we indeed draft him. He and tyreke would outmuscle pretty much every team at their positions
