    Quite a few of us on the forum love to compare prospects to notable players, I for 1 fall into this category. The thing that is confusing to many of us, is the deciding factors on why the prospect is equivalent to the player we compare him to.

    I would like to take a quick "survey" on what are your deciding factors to comparing prospects to notable players.

    I don’t want to see anything about race being a factor at all, because Bobby Sura & Jason "White Chocolate" Williams can draw comparisons for black athletes IMO.

    My deciding factors

    • Position
    • Size/Measurables/Frame
    • Style of play – whether at the time of HS/NCAA/NBA (what I see I compare)
    • Character/Demeanor
    • "Potential"

     When I come up with comparisons for players obviously I’m going to try for the same position, but after I just try to compare similarities in strengths and weaknesses. Build I use to an extent. Character and potential I don’t really factor in a ton.
