Tobe BryantParticipantHawks vs. Nets
Jeff Teague vs. Deron Williams, he could earn some more stripes tonight…

Tobe BryantParticipantNets off to another slow start, down 11-2 with no more than 3 minutes into the game. Deron Williams is penetrating but has not one viable option besides Anthony Morrow to feed. Smh.
Teague isn’t rushing like he usually would. Letting the game come to him, but can’t stay in front of the quicker and stronger Deron Williams.
Josh Smith lost a TON of weight, about 25 lbs., and is much quicker than last year which is scary! Still seems to love his outside shot though. Lol.

aamir543ParticipantMarvin Williams off to a hot start, hit two threes less than 3 minutes in to the game. I hope he’s able to turn things arounf in regards to his career.
Jeff Teague also hit a three. I really like Atlanta’s offense. They move the ball and have a balanced inside out attack. They’ll be fine as long as Johnson doesn’t ball hog, and it would be great for them if Teague would have a breakout season, and Horford continues to play well.
The only problem I have is that they are an average team on defense. They need someone that can lockdown his man on defense. And if Josh Smith can show that he’s improved his jumpshot, than that would be great for them.

Tobe BryantParticipantKris Humphries is gritty! Already hitting the boards and got a huge slam tonite.
Sundiatta Gaines is backing up Deron Williams. Where is Jordan Farmar? Oh, how we miss you and Sasha in LA..
T-Mac is the Hawks new 6th Man.

Tobe BryantParticipantLeBron should have no less than 30 tonight, he’s being checked by Sasha Pavlovic.OMG BOY!!!!
Wade is too athletic for Ray Allen at this stage in his career.
Rondo gotta push the pace against Chalmers.

aamir543ParticipantDang, the Celtic must be desperate if they’re throwing Pavlovic into the starting lineup.
Atlanta is up by 19, but remember NJ came back from 25 down against Wash yesterday.0 - Posted on: Tue, 12/27/2011 - 3:40pm #618657
omphalosParticipantDoes anyone know if Pietrus is activated tonight? He usually does a reasonable job against Lebron and would certainly be an upgrade over Pavlovic. Nice to see Rondo staying aggressive with his scoring, it’s like night and day from last season, reminds me of his series against Chicago in 2009 when Garnett was out.

surveParticipant….will be a star. We know he can score, but the way he is staying active around the basket and rebounding, he can make and impact. Great size, can get his own shot…the biggest question about him is his defense.

aamir543Participant^ I only watched the begining fo the Nets game, and now watching the Miami-Boston game, but if Brooks can become a great scoring threat for them, he and Williams could be dangerous, although I doubt that he’ll become a star this year, but I remember at teh time of the combine, Tim Grover said he reminded him of Kobe, lol.

FastAndFuriousParticipantTeague 10 points 4/5 shooting 2 assist 1 board at half…..good job, but still playing timid and cant stay in front of Deron Williams or Saundiata Gaines.

FastAndFuriousParticipantLol damn wade scared tha isshhhhhhhh outta rondo hahaha
0 - Posted on: Tue, 12/27/2011 - 4:00pm #618667
omphalosParticipantYep, that was rough, Rondo more afraid of Wade than Lebron.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 12/27/2011 - 4:01pm #618668
WizardofOzParticipantRondo didnt airball that, Wade blocked that with his mind
0 - Posted on: Tue, 12/27/2011 - 4:02pm #618669
surveParticipantBrooks just got a steal….so he may be answering some questions about his help defense and awareness….now…how good is he on-ball?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 12/27/2011 - 4:16pm #618674
theasianpersuasionParticipantKevin Love. 17 points and 5 rebounds in the 1st? He’s a monster.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 12/27/2011 - 4:17pm #618675
omphalosParticipantGod damn I hate James Jones, to the core of my being… why do the Celtics keep leaving this one-trick pony wide open? Argh.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 12/27/2011 - 4:31pm #618683
aamir543ParticipantWow, both tams shooting the ball well. I love this type of basketball. Both tams are moving the ball well and looking for the open man.
Ray Allen has made like 4 threes, James Jones has made 3, and both are playing very well.
The Celtics are setting beautiful screens for Ray Allen. And the Heat are making the extra pass to look to James Jones.
Lebron threw the lob to DWade, and then followed the miss. The Heat were moving the ball up the floor very well. I love how Lebron isn’t taking many shots beyond the top of the key, and the Heat hav e finally realized that all they need to do is run and gun.
This is quality basketball, and the Celts don’t even have Pierce, however their best options are Rondo’s one man fast break and Allen’s shooting. If they can get a premier offensive big to go with Rondo, that would be scary.
Too bad the Celt’s depth will kill them, cause I don’t think they will be able to survive the rigors of this compressed season if they’ll be playing Pavlovic and Dooling big minutes, lol. But the Bass accquisition was a great one, he can do more things for them offensively than Big Baby, and he doesn’t have the ‘tude Big Baby does.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantThe Celtics really should not have traded Marshon Brooks for JaJuan Johnson.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 12/27/2011 - 5:53pm #618726
aamir543Participant^Technically, they picked Johnson over Brooks, I believe that they were picking for each other, not a trade
0 - Posted on: Tue, 12/27/2011 - 5:58pm #618728
BigDParticipantHow about Norris Cole for the Heat? Is he a steal or what.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 12/27/2011 - 6:30pm #618747
WizardofOzParticipantAs I predicted, Kanter has no lift. He never really impressed me.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 12/27/2011 - 7:52pm #618789
omphalosParticipantI agree entirely about giving up Brooks for Johnson/Moore. I really wanted the Cs to take Jeremy Tyler or keep Brooks with that pick. Bit disappointed they took role players instead of potential stars.
