valentineJordan could be a Free Agent at the end of this season, and as the Clippers struggles he might be looking for greener pastures, so the Clips should entertain some trade ideas before the deadline. After looking at the teams two idea makes some sense:
to Milwaukee for Khris Middleton and Matthew Dellavedova
(Bledsoe-Brogdon/Snell-Parker-Giannis-Jordan) The Bucks have strong backcourt, meanwhile they are lacking a defensive stopper inside, they can afford losing Middleton (who isn’t a superstar as some label him) to plug up their hole in the middle, on the other hand the Clippers are looking for a wing like Middleton (one more years on his contract as Jordan) for about 50 years…to Cleveland for Tristan Thompson, J.R Smith and the Brooklyn pick
It won’t be easy to convince the Cavs to part with the Nets’ pick, but shedding the combined yearly more than 30 million they owe to the junk named TT&JR and refreshing the interior with a hungry defensive specimen might gives a thought. In this case the Clips would hope the change of scenery will help those declining veterans, if not, two top-7 picks in a strong, top heavy draft sounds great anyway.Thoughts?

HitsterParticipantThe Clippers Bucks trade is interesting and would give the Clippers a couple of young assets and the Bucks keep their top young core. I think the Clippers might try to get Maker as part of the deal though.
The Cavs deal could worth but I don’t see Clippers taking both Thompson and Smith as it is $66 million plus on cap fore next two seasons after this year alone. This with Gallinari and Griffin would take up most of the Clips cap space.Thompson and Frye or even some combo of Thomas and Shumpert would be more attractive to the Clippers. Also the Cavs may be reluctant to part with the pick as Jordan could walk next summer or would have to offer him a mega deal which along with LBJ extension would stretch the cap.
I’d feel the Cavs might look for a guy with a longer guaranteed deal say Marc Gasol but Clippers I’m sure would not mind a likely decent pick so if a deal could be brokered could be a goer.

EndlessknightParticipantCan’t see anyone taking on Dellavedova’s contract. It’s horrible for his level of production. Nor can I see a team giving up a high lottery pick for a guy who could be a free agent at years end.

HeroescantdieParticipantIf Im the bucks I’ll dont trade Middleton. He’s their bail out guy when. He’s a scorer and shooter and complemets giannis and bledsoe well. Im not ready on snell replacing middleton. Middleton also defends. Im willing to trade Bari if clippers willaccept. His injury is too risky for me. And he’ll be looking for a max contract

The GoatParticipantAgree, I wouldn’t trade Middleton. Underrated. Can play 2, 3 & 4 if necessary. Has been a great option on offense, dropped 40 a couple of times this season already. Jordan can defend, but will get in Giannis way on offense and with his contract situation id say no.

EspressoParticipantI want to see Giannis in a team full of snipers, a system like the Rockers where shooters are ready to pull the trigger.
Jordan would get in Giannis way only if Bucks cant constantly stretch the floor at the PF position. Jordan- Giannis pick and roll can be very succesfull.
I would really like to see Middleton hit more 3s. He hasnt been deadly like last year and its really hurting the Bucks…. Hes been getting "his" from the mid.
As bad as Ryan Anderson contract might be, the guy plays a great role for the Rockets and a player which if used in thde right system can be deadly because of the spacing he creates just by being on the floor

BeastMode716Participantbut I would Luv to see DeAndre Jordan on that Bucks team –
The Bucks are So much more Dangerous w/ Eric Bledsoe joining the squad for basically nothing
And when Jabari Parker returns the Bucks will be able to score w/ Anyone & they can take a Lot of scoring pressure off the Greek now
But if they had a Legit Rim protector in Milwaukee that Catapults them into a Real contender in the coming years
I feel like Boston would be a Great fit too…..
Bane is playing out of his Skull for the Celtics & they look like the Best team in the East
But long term I just don’t trust Bane – Especially in the playoffs….
The Celtics I figured has a Great chance to land DeAndre Ayton or Mo Bamba w/ my Lakers 2018 draft pick
How utterly Terrifying would Boston be if they got Ayton or Bamba to plant in the middle of that Already great Defensive group???
Last year my Lakers started out strong (10-10 thru 20 games) & then fell off a cliff to finish as a Bottom 3 club & the #2 pick.
This year their record is close but a little worse but it Feels like we are Much Stronger this year. Lonzo is hit or miss I understand but he is still a Nice upgrade at PG over D’Lo (NOT saying Lonzo is a Better player than D’Lo he is Not – not yet anyway, but he IS a better point guard) the team is Flowing much better Kuzma & Ingram are really playing well.
In addition, there was Really No teams out right Tanking last year – a bunch Tanked late in the year but This season there has to be 5 – 7 teams Dedicated to Tanking all year (Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix, Sacramento) & u Know about 5 more will pull the plug late
Since the Lakers pick is Def going this season to either the Celtics (#2, 3, 4 or 5) or Phila (#1 or #6 to #30)
So if Boston begins to feel that the 2018 Lakers Lottery pick is going to Phila, they may take a run at a top Defensive Center if available b/c I don’t think even Danny Aigne though that Boston could compete THIS soon but you can’t waste an opportunity if one presents itself

Memphis MadnessParticipantThis site is showing the 76ers with picks at 15 and 18. Really good picks, but not GREAT. The Sixers have enough young guys, have paid Covington, and will end up paying EMBIIDSIMMONS some YUGE money, so I am thinking what more would the Clips want than Jahlil Okafor, Richaun Holmes, Justin Anderson, Jerryd Bayless’ contract, Korkmaz, 15, 18, as well as a second rounder at 36.
That might be a lot to give up, but that would give Philly a monster 8 man core of Simmons, Fultz, Reddick, McConnell, Covington, Saric, DeAndre, and Embiid.
Plus the potential of a Simmons-Fultz-Covington-Embiid-DJ Super Freak lineup.
Clips get two solid first rounders out of it along with a Jahlil Okafor/Richaun Holmes test run.

EndlessknightParticipantDude you comment on the Sixers a lot but its obvious do don’t really follow them
Embiid has already signed his extension and is locked in for 5 more years after this one. Simmons still has 2 more years before his and even then it won’t be an issue.
If the season ended now, baring lottery, the Sixers would have the 10th and 23rd picks.
There is no way the Sixers would trade for Jordan, especially not 2 first round pics plus Holmes.

Mr. 19134ParticipantI wouldn’t trade Korkmaz straight up for Deandre if Im the Sixers. Seriously i wouldn’t.

HitsterParticipantJordan would potentially clog up the paint for Embiid and the you have to factor in Simmons on defence as the 76ers need smaller mobile options to balance the team out. Plus Philly might get Lakers pick this year and could easily add a young big then.

joe2324ParticipantThe only situation he can benefit a team is as a rim defender and to sometimes get a lob for a dunk. That is it. If your giving pieces to get him in hopes of something more then you’ll be disappointed.

Memphis MadnessParticipantNo, if all he did were rebound, protect the rim/block shots, and get some dunks I would be happy.
They could go with a twin towers inside game and give you some monster lineups.
Philly would be AWESOME if they had at least Embiid or Jordan in at all times.
They go with what works — monster point guard/center combos, AND the twin towers thing, plus scoring on the wing from Covington, Reddick, and Markelle Fultz.
If I am Philly, I think I would go for it. Might as well compete for the title starting RIGHT NOW.
There won’t be a DeAndre Jordan at 10, much less 23. There might not be one at 5.
This draft might drop off, so you are rolling the dice, and might end up with a glorified role player picking between 10 and 20 anyway.
If Philly needs role players then they need to stock up on second rounders (looks like they already have a few in 2018).
I would look at Jalen Brunson (maybe some more Villanova guys) as a backup/third string point guard.
Yeah, if I can get DeAndre Jordan for Okafor, another fringe guy or two, and 2 mediocre first round picks, I am gonna throw the twin towers at Boston’s front line, at Cleveland’s front line, the Rocket’s front line, and the Warriors’ front line.
Hey, Tim Duncan and David Robinson figured it out. Embiid is more athletic with more range than Tim Duncan. Might be a better shot blocker. DeAndre Jordan is a better athlete than late-model Admiral. Better rebounder too, maybe stronger, as well as a better shot-blocker than the older David Robinson.
Say what you want, but you can’t argue with Simmons, Embiid, DeAndre Jordan, Markelle Fultz, Dario Saric, Robert Covington, TJ McConnell, and JJ Reddick. That is a MONSTER 8 man rotation, that can compete RIGHT NOW.
Get a 3rd string center, a 3rd string point guard, and a project 3 and D wing in the 2nd round.

EndlessknightParticipantSo glad you’re not Philly,
Not only does not fit the Sixers he has the option to opt out and be an UFA. Anyone who trades for him is just getting a playoff rental.

Andv1 WaitingParticipantThe clippers are a hard spot: Both their PGs are probably done for this season meaning you are banking on Deandre staying/re upping but when they had Milos and Beverley the Clippers looked alright…
However if there was anytime to trade Deandre/go rebuild it would be now…
So the hard part is this though Deandre is on 22 million dollars which limits the teams you can move him to but here are a few that make sense:
Cavs: Tristan, the Brooklyn pick and an expiring deal for D.J why the Cavs do this Deandre offers everything Tristan does and doesn’t come with the Kardashians lol. The only risk is the Brooklyn pick being top 3 and that Lebron walks to this deal for the Cavs.
Mavs: DJ for Wes Matthews a future protected pick and Nerlans Noel. Don’t know if they would do it due to D.J bailing on them but it could work…
Lakers: DJ for Lopez( maybe a young cheap deal) straight trade: Lakers do this to get a centre that may fit better with Ball as this will allow for more of a faster style of play and the Clippers do this to get cap relief/potential to resign him next offseason due to bird right possibly…The only catch is do the Lakers want to lock some cap space up with D.J having the extra year…
Phoenix: Tyson chandler,Greg monroe and either protected pick or a young talent for D.J and Beverley(who is out for most of this season)
Bulls: Robin lopez and Nikola Mirotic(once allowed to trade) for D.J and maybe the rights to swap picks depending on if it falls in a certain range in 2020..
Gorgi dieng and Cole alrich + a future protected pick for D.J . This saves them some cap and gets them an asset in the pick and it makes sense for the T-wolves to have legit defensive big beside Towns..
