Davis Bertans is becoming a beast!

Good news for all Spurs fans is that Davis Bertans becoming a really good player. He was drafted because of his amazing shooting ability, but except that he made a lot of improvments in other areas of his game. After not so great performances in Euroleague, he has much better end of season. He started to put the ball on the floor more, improving his dribble, improving going through screens, improving game in transition, improving defense. This summer he will practise in Spurs camp and play for Latvian NT at Eurobasket in Slovenia. I expect him to score 15 points per game next year in Euroleague. Davis is hard caracter and hard working guy and in 2-3 years he will be one of the best shooters in NBA

He was only 18 when he was drafted in the second round two years ago. San Antonio always turns their foreign guys into solid players I could see him coming off the bench for Kawhi Leonard and knocking down shots their gonna need.

so a more skilled and younger

so a more skilled and younger matt bonner with more potential and at the absolute worst case a matt bonner and getting any kind of minutes from a second round pick makes it a good pick.

Don't forget about Adam Hanga!

Hanga is another nice Euro stash that has been one of the better players in Europe this season.

Athletic, decent stroke, can put the ball on the floor and play good defense. He could be the future starting SG for the Spurs if he keeps progressing like this.

He'll probably be the first of the two to come over, as soon as 2014.

So being an average player on the worst team in the Spanish League = being "one of the better players in Europe"?

Get serious.

Malaka`

He's highly coveted by the elite euro teams. They want to sign him because they see his talent. He just plays on a crap team. He IS one of the better young and upcoming players. He recently was selected on the All-Star Five of the month of April in the Spanish ACB League. He's going to be bigtime next season on a better team playing Euroleague.

So I assume players like Kyrie Irving, Tobias Harris, John Wall, Anthony Davis and Tyreke Evans are worth &$#%#&@! becaue they play for bad teams?

Oh wait, you must think Spannoulis or however you spell that f.cktards name has better potential than Hanga and should be in the NBA, right?

YOU get serious.

Haven't seen Hanga play this

Haven't seen Hanga play this year but I do not agree about Bertans. I saw quite a few Partizan games this season and saw nothing at all in him that makes me think he will ever contribute at NBA level. While he did shoot 47% from 3 in Euroleague play, he only shot 22% inside the arc. He is too weak to guard 4's, too slow to guard 3's and really doesn't look like he is interested on the defensive end. He is an awful rebounder. Offensively he is extremely one dimensional, averaging 0.7 assists and 1.2 turnovers per game and really doesn't put the ball on the floor well. In a crucial game against Bamberg he had 2 costly turnovers at big moments in the game.

That said, Partizan is a really young team, with the oldest player born in 1988 so obviously there will be tough moments for any player, despite Partizan having a great coach.

The player that impressed me most was Dejan Musli (1991). He is huge, plays hard, is a good free throw shooter and averaged 9.5ppg and 4.9rpg in 20mins a game. He is not overly athletic but could be a good Euro player or solid NBA back up if he continues to develop.

Like you said, Partizan is

Like you said, Partizan is very young and inexperienced team and despite that we had a really good chances to go to top 16. Since the end of Euroleage in december every guy in Partizan improved a lot and Bertans improved the most. Bertans didn't play well in Euroleague, but now he is the best player in Partizan.

Dusko Vujosevic is the best coach for developing young players. I can wait for the next season, I think that Partizan is gonna be a big surprise for every team in Euroleague like we were few years ago

Except Bertans, there are few guys in Partizan like Joffrey Lauvergne, Dejan Musli, Bogdan Bogdanovic who are eligibile for this years draft and who can be a good 2nd round pick ups in a few years

I also didn't watch Hanga a lot, so I can't comment him

Anyone who says Bertans will

Anyone who says Bertans will average 15 points in Euroleague next year or that Hanga is one of the best players in Europe is a troll and is also retarded. PERIOD.

Keyboard warrior

Tell that to Real Madrid, Bilbao, Virtus Rome and Valencia, teams that are interested in Hanga. I used arguments to back up what I said. Hanga is one of the better young up and coming players. No one can deny that.

Also, you're kind of a keyboard warrior, insulting people on this forum. You probably don't have a very good life outside of your bedroom, have you?

You said Hanga was one of the

You said Hanga was one of the best players in Europe. He is not even in the top 100 players in Europe, maybe not even in the top 200. Then when you got called on it, you changed it to, "one of the top young up and coming players in Europe.

HUGE difference. And not even remotely close to being the same thing.

And Roma, Bilbao, and Valenica have absolutely nothing to do with "elite clubs in Europe", hell none of them even play in Euroleague.

Stop trolling.

Called on it? Not top 100 or

Called on it? Not top 100 or 200? Name me 100-200 players that are better than Hanga. Considering his age and what he's doing at this stage, he is one of the better players in Europe. His game will translate much better to the NBA though and the Spurs will again have a European stud. His length, athleticism, shooting, ability to beat his man off the dribble, rebounding, versatility and decent passing game will all translate positively and the Spurs could have their future duo at the 2 and 3 with Hanga and Leonard. Coach Popovich will get the absolute max out of Adam.

He was selected to the All-Star Five of the month of April in the ACB.

He posted 18 points per game in that period, which was the second best performance in the league, fnished 2nd in the MVP rankings in April and he was named the best shooting guard of the month as well.

He is in the Top 15 in the regular season's MVP ranking with 13.8 VAL per game, tied with Rudy Fernandez. He is the 4th in the league in Fouls Drawn category, and he is 9th overall in steals with 1.26 per contest.

If you're "calling" someone on something, you have to use arguments to do so, all you do is talk &$#%#&@! without backing it up.

This dude is going to be nasty. You also ignored the interest from Real Madrid. Aren't they an elite team? Why would they be interested in him if he isn't a top 100 player in Europe?

Stop being a keyboard warrior and go help your mom with the groceries.
