damn...looks like there's no point in watching tonight...bruh going to miami
I am truly sad for Lee he will work hard in GS and they probably wont win anymore games because of it
"The Warriors and Knicks have agreed in principle to a sign-and-trade deal that would send power forward David Lee to Golden State for Anthony Randolph, Ronny Turiaf and Kelenna Azubuike, multiple sources confirmed on Thursday.
According to one source, the terms of Lee’s contract have been agreed to, the paperwork has been completed and all that’s needed are the pertinent signatures.
Oh, and one other thing: LeBron James needs to make it official tonight that he’s not signing with the Knicks. At this point, indications are that he won’t. But the Knicks want to make sure."
I like the Curry, Lee and Biedrins package and if Monte is used as a 6th man they be a few pieces away from looking like the Suns...
I'd still trade Ellis for a young Sg and Sf combo...Udoh will be a dirty worker type that can actually play a lot like Lamar Odom with less handles of course...If he develops that and a nice mid range jumper he'd be a solid 6th man himself...They should not have passed on Monroe...Then they have kept Randolph or included him in any Ellis deal for a better Sg And Sf combo....
Good trade for both teams. Golden State cleans up their log jam and gets a solid big.New York solidyfies their depth although I'm not sure why they aqcuire 2 more wing players I love the Ronny Turiaf pickup. New York is stacking up on quitee a bit of injury prone bigs thou...
Lee compliments the offensively challenged Biedrins well. He can step out and hit a jumper from time to time and he rebounds just as well as Biedrins. Add Biedrins shot blocking ability and they have a nice C/PF combo, but now that Maggette and Randolph will be gone, there is a hole at SF. I expect the Warriors to be in the lottery once again.
The Knicks get pieces to fill there team and to build around Stoudemire. They get a hard nosed, yet undersized C in Turiaf, a good wing player in Azubuike, and a wind oozing with potential in Randolph. They have the money to take this type of a risk because Curry's contract coming off the books.
Like Canada said, a good deal for both teams.
The Knicks now have twelve players in the fold with $11.5 million in cap room, and a big hole at the point guard spot. My guess would be to watch for a deal with Milwaukee for Michael Redd's expiring deal and a re-signed Luke Ridnour.
I wish I had a clue what Golden State was trying to do. They are going to spend close to $50 million on Lee, Ellis, Biedrins, Gadzuric, and Radmanovic this year. They sold a high 2nd round pick because players in the NBDL are just as good as 2nd rounder despite the fact nobody spends more than $1 million to buy the rights to sign a player from the NBDL. They spent to 6th overall pick on Ekpe Udoh, who is going to play what role for them with Biedrins, Lee, Wright, Gadzuric, and Radmanovic? It is just such a horrible mess.
anthony randolph for most improved player (if healthy)
They have a lot of big forwards, but no legit small forward...the Warriors are in trouble at that spot. I don't know what the braintrust over there are thinking at times. Hell I don't know if Don Nelson even runs plays for these guys anymore!!
But a deal for Michael Redd's expiring deal and Luke Ridnour, wouldn't be bad at all. Redd's injury prone but he is a shooter and Ridnour is the type of distributor that can hit an open 3 that the Knicks wanted Chris Duhon to be.
Anthony Randolph will be fun to watch next year. He will operate in a similar role Boris Diaw was in back in his Pheonix days, but he's going to look to score out of the triple threat instead of pass as much as Diaw did. He really could stand out as a player in that system
BTPH I expect Biedrins to be moved soon , maybe they work a deal for Igoudala, Deng or Turkoglu. Its unbeliable really the Milwaukee trade has proved to be very stupid. Obviously they didnt want Randolph returning the next season because he would have been given an amazing oppurtunity to blossom.Although Lee, Udoh, Biedrins and Wright isnt bad up front moving forward I believe G-State should have drafted Paul George for thatwing position if they knew Randolph would be moved.
No deal involving Biedrins will get Iguodala. No combination of players the Warriors have will get Iguodala.
NY still doesn't have a point guard, Monta Ellis isn't exactly the greatest guy to run the show, but they'd get a little guard help out of the deal.
Knicks will add another expiring deal so next year they can be 24 to 28mil under, I doubt any rookies are picked up for 2011 except for Jerome Jordan since they have a need for him as far as a Point Guard goes potential suitors are Ridnour, Felton, Augustine, Watson, and but I'd go for Eric Maynor maybe offer Wilson Chandler since you have Azuibuike now Maynor is a true PG and D'Antoni can mold him into a great PG
6 or 7 seed definitely
randolph can play center too
I like this. We have alot of pieces now and this cap space. All we need is a ring leader to run the show.
Chandler- Gallo- Randolph- Amare?
That's a good 4 but we have no number one there. Maybe if we can get Luke Ridnour to get these guys the ball- It could a big deal in NY next season.
Monte Ellis and Brandon Wright for Xavier Henry, Darrel Arthur and Haseem Thabeet...
Monte and Oj together with Gay, Zac and Baby Gasol...you do give up a Young Gun in Henry and lose your#2 pick project Center and role playing combo forward...
Curry, Henry, Arthur, Lee, Beidrins, Thabeet, Morrow, Udoh, Radmo, Cj Watson...
If they do give up Ellis for youth and struggle all year and get a top 3 pick...Perry Jones or Harrison Barnes on That Team would be Sick...
Warriors Next Year
Curry, Henry, Barnes or Jones, Lee, Beidrins, Thabeet, Udoh, Arther, Morrow and Watson with some cap space work too...
If your Golden State, a 1st round pick better be in that deal too. Monta Ellis is better then all 3 of those players combined. I would at least expect a 1st down the road.
I hope we start Turiaf at the 5 to have a defensive minded protector in there. We need at least one guy who's a non-scorer and shot blocker starting. So Stoudemire can flourish at the 4 spot. Galo at the 3, Wilson or Azibuke at the 2, and a FA PG we pick up at the one, hopefully Felton.
Yall sleepin on turiaf blocking shots hustling rebounding the Center position along with point guard is one of the hardest positions to fill I see turiaf averaging 8ppg 9rb 2blk
Is it just me or are the Knicks quietly crawling their way back into the playoff picture.
...Only IF they get Lebron to sign will they be better than the 6th in the east with a lot of Teams in flux but the Magic, Heat, Celtics, Hawks, Bucks and Sixers are all in a better spot still..
Knicks have made very good moves this offseason, I like what they are doing right now.
This deal can backfire on them if AR and Ronny are Injured like they have proven to be in the past...We have to wait and see with the Knicks...I love Amare as a 1 on 1 guy but not for Max Money in NY...They have as much bad luck as the Clippers...
They are 3 moves away from being legit
1. Go to guy= Carmelo Anthony
2. Point Guard= ??????????? my guess Tony Parker or Eric Maynor maybe Kemba Walker
3. Defense minded Asst. Coach
wow........this new york knicks squad is going to be extremely bad defensively...they were bad defensively before. now they're best defensive player and most hustle guy is gone. wow. i duno about that. but ronnie turiaf should bring some much needed toughness to this team.
lmao, David Lee isnt a good defender, not at all
