TheWizardParticipantat least according to David Kahn. I love Webber’s reaction to Kahn at the end; “Good Luck.” Does anyone believe that Darko may have a real impact on the Timberwolves?

HitsterParticipantVlade Divac was an rock solid defensive presence in the NBA on competing teams for the vast majority of his 15 year NBA career and is one of few players to have over 13,000 career points, 9,000 rebounds and 1,500 blocks also he had a stellar international career helping Yugoslavia to Olympic silver, World and European Championship titles. Plus the Lakers only traded him as they probably had Shaq lined up and the player they got in return was Kobe Bryant.
Darko apart from some of this time at the Magic and the T-Wolves has been a big disappointment but he can become an effective defensive presence that the T-Wolves desperately needs but no way can you compare him to Divac at any stage of his career.
Divac may have been Darko’s hoped for upside when he was drafted but apart from that no real ability comparison.

M-DYMESParticipantLOL I love Webber’s reaction to the whole conversation. You can def. tell how offended he is in Kahn comparing him to Darko. Webber’s not gonna say he wasn’t ready from the get-go. And while Darko may still be young and have plenty of upside, Divac put together a great career and it is way too early to say Darko’s game or even his passing is reminiscent of Divac or C-Webb’s.

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantIf somebody ever takes time out of their day to do a Darko Milicic top 10 career highlights video, that jersey rip should be #1.

stealsgaloreParticipantThe jersey rip would be #1, a picture of his championship ring would fill the 2-10 spots just at different angles.

sheltwon3ParticipantWebber was right to get mad but dude is arrogant and acts like he is better than some people and players. Also technically Darko still have a chance to be close to Vlad if he can average a double double around 4 or 5 assists for the next 10 to 12 years which is is doable since he is 25 year up big who could play to he is 35 or so. If he stays healthy has 4 or 5 20 and 10 years, he could possibly have better career number than Webber who stayed hurt. That would not make him a better player than Webber or Vlad but his number would at least make this argument not as one sided. Also if Kahn is saying all this, I am think they will force feed Darko and Darko is talented enough that if he gets touches he can put up decent number. This could cause problems with Love but everyone else is young and will have to wait their chance.

Mr. 19134ParticipantI love Darko and that Jersey rip wouldn’t be number one but him laughing in Mutombo’s face and then Blocking Dikembe’s hook shot on the way up would be up there:

llperezhe is probably never gonna be on vlades level.Vlade was the second best passing center i have ever seen behind only sabonis.Hehad tons of crafty post moves. Hemade an all-star team and was a top 10 center in the league a number of years throughout his career.
But darko can still contribute better then a lot of people give him credit for.

TheWizardParticipantJust to clear things, i wasnt trying to lead people into thinking that I think Darko is going to be like Divac. I was just posting Kahn’s unique opinion on things.
