White ChocolateParticipantDarius Miles worked out for the San Antonio Spurs
and
Francisco Elson works out for the Utah Jazz.
Just thought that you guys might be interested in a little news not much happens until training camp starts. Do you think the Spurs will sign Miles and do you think the Jazz will sign Elson?

White ChocolateParticipantJust read on HoopsHype the Jazz are close to signing free agent Francisco Elson. Now will the Spurs sign Miles?

sammybuckeye13ParticipantJazz signing Elson makes sense, only one C under contract currently and could use another vet presence, and he could presumably be had for very cheap.

McDunkinas a spurs fan…

Stojakovicfor3ParticipantThe spurs also worked out jawad Williams and Thomas Gardner, who I would rather have than miles.

Counting StarsParticipantI don’t think the Jazz signing Elson would necessarily means “bye bye” for Fes. Okur is hurt, Jefferson is more of a power forward and they traded their third center, Koufos, away. I don’t see why having both doesn’t make sense.

butidonthavemoneyNo way Jefferson plays PF. Wayyyy too slow. Utah runs a pretty perfect fast break/secondary fast break. It’s responsible for many of the runs they go on (especially at home). Playing Jefferson at anything but center will be very detrimental to Jerry Sloan’s system.
Well, at least that’s what I think. Maybe he’ll show up to training camp in the best shape of his life and actually be able to run the fast break (he couldn’t last season).

JoeWolf1At first I was shocked when I saw that this was a Spurs post by Cousinsfan11, and then a read down a little bit and saw it was also a Jazz post which made much more sense.
