knicksfan7ParticipantWhile we all know he has one of the best outside shots in the game, it is not the only part of his game. The guy can rebound, block shots, take the ball up, and play excellent Defense. I am surprised we’re not talking about him more on this forum. Thoughts??

the microwaveParticipantExcellent Defense??? I have to disagree.. he is a solid weak side shot blocker, but solid defense… Nah never that. Man does not slide his feet well, and even though I have maybe caught 5-7 Knicks gms, nothing has impressed me but his offensive skills. Very solid player, and his d will improve, but right now hes not a Good NBA level defender..

knicksfan7ParticipantHave you seen the block he had against Charlotte at the end of the game. He had a sick block on D-Rose last night. You’re missing quality plays by Danilo.

the microwaveParticipantim agreeing with you on his shot blocking skills, but blocking shots does not make u a solid defender..

knicksfan7ParticipantWhere do you see his potential as an NBA player???

knicksfan7ParticipantLOL, Idc. I do it bc I’m bored.

the microwaveParticipanti think he has the ability to be great.. I truly do. I love his offensive game, hes a great shooter as well. I hate to give a lofty comparison this early in his career, but he has the tools to be a force in this lg for many yrs if he can maintain his health!!

Dhamp2ParticipantWe’re not talking about Gallinari because he isn’t that good. I watched him last week and all he did was jack up 11 three-point shots. He made maybe three. I think two. He played no defense and couldn’t stop my 8-year-old neice.

How did Victor Page ever think he was the next Iverson?

knicksfan7ParticipantI agree. He does, I don’t like the dirk comparisions b/c he has a very thin frame. I really see him as Danilo Gallinari. I don’t see the point in comparing players since every player brings there own type of uniqueness in there game. Unlike other sports basketball has a lot of expression to it, it’s not like football where u have everyone throwing the same motion, basketball is an art is all I got to say.

knicksfan7ParticipantThe guy is young, he’s still learning. Though his last game he got the ball behind the arc and Taj Gibson rushed him and Gallo just drove to the basket, he knows he can do more than shoot the 3.

the microwaveParticipantbut please dont call Gallinari a bum, and bring Devendorf to the site here…. No one likes a hypocrite…Devendorf is a BUM

RickyRubio9ParticipantYeah Danillo is a Solid Player right now & his shooting reminds me of Peja. I think he can be better. & Uh..Dhamp??? Seriously…I like Eric D. but to diss a player like Danillo & love Eric is just silly. He’s doing good right now & he actually does rebound pretty good. That block against Charlotte was real impressive to me because he was the reason the game was still open! He missed the free throws before that. I think he’s a Multiple Time All-Star & 3 Point Contest Winner. Good pick by the Knicks. His game is translating well and his shots won’t always fall, but shooters keep shooting. He had a bad game last night though. He does more then shoot from what I saw. Pretty Impressive Young Player

Dhamp2ParticipantBig deal! I can like whoever I want….even Devo. Who cares if I like him as a player. Dude led Oakhill to a national championship. Anway, Gallinari isn’t that good. In a few years maybe, but I watched him last week. All he did was jack up threes. And that wasn’t the only time I watched him.

the microwaveParticipantwow he led oak hill a HS to a championship??? WHO CARES.. this is NBAdraft.net, not HIGHSCHOOLBALLSPAST.NET….
DEVENDORF IS A BUM and a WOMAN BEATER… What can he do well? hes in the D-lg, and barely that.YOu can like whomever you want, but to say one guy isnt talked about cause hes a bum, and you bring the BIGGEST BUM to the site daily makes you a hypocrite.. YES HYPCRITE.. Feel free to tell me more about Devendorfs HS ship which no one cares about but you… get out from under devendorf, he says it tickles.

Da1potParticipantYour point D-Hamp??? At least Gallinari can enter a draft and actually get drafted……. What actually made Devendorf think he was going to get drafted? He dug himself in such a deep hole and ruined any chances he had of of getting drafted when he punched a girl in the face. So what if all Gallo can do is shoot threes, he is actually IN the NBA and averaging 14 points a game. Devo will not play 14 minutes in the NBA in his entire pro career.

Dhamp2ParticipantI never even used to word bum!!!!!! Ever!!! You did!!!! I said Gallinari sucked. And he does. So how am I a hypercrite??? Because I posted that Devo said he got bad advice??? That’s what he said. Maybe he did; maybe not. I was just passing along the information. So that makes me a hypercrite….Understand one thing you posters follow my lead, LOL. Just like little puppies, lol. I said Melo would lead the NBA in scoring, now everyone is jocking me. Next I said Wesley Johnson would be a top 10 pick. I told everyone that I live in Oklahoma and Willie Warren won’t be a lottery pick and that’s he’s overated. He won’t be a lottery pick. Once again, you guys are jocking, please get off my jock.
When I’m wrong, such as the case with Devo, then I admit it. Now I will use the word bum and it’s directed to you.
Dhamp2…………Hubie Brown

Michael.S.ParticipantDHamp, If I want anyone in the league jacking up 10 threes a game, its Gallinari. If you really think he sucks, I have to question if you have ever seen him play.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 12/23/2009 - 12:42pm #240720
RickyRubio9ParticipantI think the Knicks are fine with him shooting up 3’s as long as he continues making them at a 41% Rate. All he does is shoot 3’s? So the Five Boards he gets a game are nothing right? You know…I was a Fan of Devo, but…Listening to you babble about him at times makes me want to hate the guy. OakHill HS? Seriously…? C’Mon Man. He’s a Good Player, but you give him way too much credit. Let him get to the League first then we can compare him & Danillo.

Pretty Good Stats for Gallinari0 - Posted on: Wed, 12/23/2009 - 12:44pm #240721
RickyRubio9ParticipantOh, & even after having a bad shooting game last night Danillo still went to the Line and hit his shots, grabbed 7 boards, dished out 3 assists, and blocked 3 shots.

Da1potParticipantIt does not sound like it from the people posting against you that anyone is following you Dhamp- like you claim. You did not “bring” Wesley Johnson to this site like you claim. Just because you mention him a lot doesn’t mean you can take Aran’s credit for introducing him. No one is “jocking” you and do not insult everyone on this site just because you obviously have a very high opinion of your own opinion. Yeah you can say Gallo sucks Dhamp, but the fact remains he leads the league in threes made, shoots over 40% from behind the arc, averages 14 points per game all while displaying a vast array of other skills and a great deal of potential.

NYK2010ParticipantFigures Dhamp would hate on him, just another wanna be with his stupid ego.
You probably saw one game and yeah he was jacking up 3’s against the Bulls last week.
He’s basically a rookie because he missed all of last year it seemed.
His defense, rebounding, passing and offensive game are all getting better.
With decent handle he should take the ball to the hoop more and post on smaller guys.
In time he has potential to be one of the few Knicks drafted to be a star.0 - Posted on: Wed, 12/23/2009 - 1:51pm #240739
McWinningParticipantdhamp i agree hes not great but really he brings some things to the table. Hes a great three point shooter with height which makes him hard to defend, and hes a pretty good rebounder, yes he doesn’t play that well of defense and he needs to work on improving some other ares of his game like his post up but hes a good young prospect who cvan contribute now and has a chance to be special. And this is coming from someone who you might call a Knick hater too.

knicksfreakParticipantDhamp, you must have seen last weeks chicago game where the Knicks almost broke the record for most 3’s in a game. Their shot werent falling that night. You mentioned Devo taking Oakhill to a natty championship? Well Gallo was the best player on the best team in the best league in his age bracket in Italy.
Gallo’s biggest weakness is moving without the ball on offense. He disappears sometimes. His on the ball defense needs to get stronger too. He has weaknesses but so does every young player in the league.
He is one of the best shooters in the league. He has good court vision and passing ability. Gets a surpising number of blocks. Excellent size and length for a SF.
