The Australian media are reporting that the Aussies are gifted a great draw because we don’t have to face the USA until the gold medal game. While this is obviously true in some regards, it’s as though because we have performed so well in group games that this will be a formality. I understand we have a much better squad now but this scares me because European teams such as Lithuania have been a real battle to over come in the past. I know the squad itself won’t take the game lightly but am I being pessimistic to think that the Lithuania game is a massive danger game? I actually think if we beat Lithuania the semifinal game will be easier to win. I guess I say this as an Aussie fan that has been heart broken by games we "should" have won that we have lost in the past.
