Haven’t posted on the forum in a while but Twitter was in a frenzy yesterday (including the NBADraft.net twitter account) about Dan Dakich saying that Miles Bridges "has no game".  He started it by commenting on one of Jeff Goodman’s tweets regarding Bridges’ performance in the game against IU yesterday.  Goodman had a solid mic drop moment for Dakich.

I just don’t see how someone who knows basketball the way that Dakich does can, with a straight face, say that Miles Bridges has no game.  I get it, he may not like his game and may not think it translates, has holes, etc but come on dude, the kid was Big 10 Freshman of the Year and a 2nd Team All-Big Ten selection.

He’s going to be a 1st round pick this season and is averaging 18/8/2 over the course of two seasons at Michigan State.  Does ESPN just pay guys like Dakich to spout off at the mouth simply to help drive ratings?

To answer your question……..Yes.  The only reason ESPN keeps Dakich around is for his ourlandish comments and to help increase ratings.  Dakich is an awful play by play guy and is way off in several of his assessments, including that of Bridges.

I said it before, he doesn’t have much of a game. Dunks, open 3, blocks a few shots.

He is not going to be the 20+ppg all-star a lot of kids on here were thinking 12-18 months ago….

I don’t think that’s really the point here.  Just because he’s not going to be the "20+ppg all-star" that some were thinking a while back doesn’t mean he doesn’t have game.

You can critique his game and find holes all you want, which is fine.  But to go that far is just ridiculous.

Dunks, open 3s and blocks – sounds like a handy 3 and D wing. Definitely got game, perhaps not as much as others thought, but useful nonetheless.

Dakich is a clown. When he called the Oklahoma game he wouldn’t shut up about Trae Young and just laughed every time the kid made a play, like he discovered Young and was too cool for school…call the f’in game Dan.

As far as Miles Bridges goes, he has too much James Anderson and Josh Smith in his game for me.  Super athlete that can’t dominate offense or defense, not a great shooter and doesn’t have a tight handle…So F-U Dan, I don’t need your validation.

I tend not to believe it is a coincidence that Michigan State plays Indiana on ESPN on Saturday night.

This is Dan Dakich’s personal life leading to extremely biased comments. Dakich’s son is Andrew Dakich, senior guard for….dun dun dun! Ohio State. One of Michigan State’s biggest rivals in the Big Ten.

Pretty Bush league stuff from Dan.

There is not a single player at a program of that caliber with no game, walk-ons included.  Wow, what a joke.  ESPN has gone down toilet if you ask me.  Or maybe it always that way and I was too young to know better.  Either way I can’t watch it.
