Anybody watching this Wolves vs Rockets game, just tuned in and on the first possession Love caught the ball in the mid-range, swung through past Scola and came in for a huge stuff. I’ve literally never seen him move that quick, it was ridiculous.

Shaping up to be a good game, Love has really impressed me this season and the extended summer was a blessing, giving him a chance to shed the last of his "baby fat".

I wanted to ask if anyone else saw Milsap play Love a couple days ago?  He seriously dominated Love in 1v1 sets repeatedly through the game.  Love gave him no respect after the game, but it was clear Milsap threw him off his game.  And what’s more significant is that Sap guarded Griffin and Dirk in his previous two games and outplayed each in a big way as well.  Like Love they each have an excuse (Dirk’s knee & no CP3 for Griff).  Still, he absolutely eliminated their face-up game and made it very tough for them to make a play w/their back to the basket as well.  Almost all of their shots were either when Sap was on the bench or from 20+ feet away from the hoop.  Additional to his D, he averaged 23/9 during those games shooting almost 60%.

I’m not saying Milsap is the same talent as Love.  He’s not.  But I think Milsap is shaping up to be one of the (if not THE) best PF defender in the NBA.  My sample size is pretty small, so I’ll be paying close attention to upcomming games.  Last year he struggled vs. bigger post players including a very bad game guarding Cousins.  That said, his play lately vs. the big-name 4s has been amazing.
