TripleDoubleKingParticipantyo i went on the trade machine on espn bro I swear I can’t find one LOGICAL trade to ship Amare out of new york with that contract and get anything back for him. Do you see anybody making a play at Amare and what can the New York Knicks get back? Or is this just an amnesty situation? Or did they use it on Chauncey not to sure?

Forte IVParticipantThey used it on Chauncey already.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantThis is why the NBA needs non-guaranteed (NFL) contracts.

drk3351ParticipantNope just needs smarter GM’s not paying 100 million to a injury prone PF who benefited from a great passer in Phoenix Steve Nash.

frogmanParticipantAmare was getting MVP buzz his 1st season in New York. Unforseen injuries are what killed him.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI wouldn’t SMH amare. If somebody offered you 5yr/$100m contract, you’d take that 11 times out of 10.

fcb206ParticipantThe knicks should consider any trade that gets them out from under his contract, and I don’t think a single team would take Amare without the knicks agreeing to pay a considerable portion of his salary as part of the deal. his only value for the rest of his knicks career is what he could fetch in a trade as an expiring contract in the last year of his deal.

bigmandinkyParticipantEven if the Knicks are interested, there’s no guarantee Toronto would do it, but:
Andrea Bargnani and Ladry Fields (NY reunion) + filler (Aaron Gray?)
for
Stoudamire
I think it could work for both teams.

Chilbert arenasParticipantAmare, like Nash, need Aaron Nelson back in their lives. Also the Knicks should have included him in the Melo trade since they clearly can’t play together.

Memphis MadnessParticipantThis trade would work:
Amare, James White, Earl Barron, the 24th pick, cash, a future first round pick, and a future second round pick to the Pacers for Danny Granger, Ian Mahinmi, and Miles Plumlee.
The Knicks get rid of Amare and add two big men to put on the bench just in case they need a really good bench clearing brawl (more than likely against the Pacers), plus two years of Danny Granger’s knees. The Pacers get Amare who might be able to give them something, James White
as a small forward practice dummy, a soft big man with a soft touch plus the NIT and NBA title combo in Earl Barron, the 24th pick, and two future picks plus some extra cash to overpay David West. This is the perfect trade to piss off both fan bases who already really, really hate each other.

phila9012ParticipantI wish the pacers had granger the pacers heat series would be very interesting because the pacers have no one on their bench who can score and he would be able to do it.

220ParticipantNo one is trading to get Amare’s horrid contract right now. It just won’t happen until its about to expire. When its about to expire the Knicks can likely acquire a player a team is sick who is almost assuredly overpaid and maybe a pick or two to go along with it. Until then Amare will be absolutely be a Knick.
