GotTheGoodsParticipantAs a Chicago native and fan this is truly sad…I remember watching him in High School saying he’d have a great career. I do remember hearing a high school coach saying if he changes speeds and learns to stick the jumper his career would be long. I saw Derrick making this transition but only after two knee surgeries. It’s safe to say he’s damaged goods and wont get big chunks of money anymore but he’ll be a decent starting point guard the rest of his career depending how he holds up both physically and mentally….very sad!
