After missing the last 3 Mav games due to "personal reasons" Lamar Odom will now be sent to the zD-League. Ha! Now thats funny! Since learning he would not be a Laker his career has gone sour quick. Whoever originally leaked that NO trade is an arse.

If the Dallas Mavericks cared about Lamar Odom the person and not what Odom the basketball player can do for them, they’ll have him seek professional help….His family & friends are worried about his current state of mind..They feel he should sit out the rest of the season, becuz he seems to be having alot of mental issues that can only lead to self – destruction..

Sending him to the D-League won’t improve his play or help him get his legs under him, it will just flat out embarass him.  A player of his caliber does not belong in the D-League.  Seriously, this type of treatment is embarassing, demeaning, and belittling.

Word has it that he asked to go to the D-League to clear his mind and find his game…But there are some that say he needs mental help..

No matter how many millions a person has, they can still be mentally damaged and go through ups-and-downs in their lives.  You know the old saying, "money doesn’t buy happiness"

i agree with ohcnada on this, sending him down to the d league shouldnt impact his mind or his game. He is a grown man and a professional basketball player. Fact is he has allowed off the court stuff that have nothing to do with basketball to affect him. Mavs dont owe him any favors. He is being paid well and performing poorly becasue he is unhappy. He quit on th elakers cause he wasnt happy how they traded him. Lamar, my man, you are making crazy money to play basketball. Get over it.

Lamar turned soft.  He’s all about the celebrity life style now and his feelings got hurt cuz the lakers wanted to trade him.  Now he can’t get over them wanting to trade him even though he’s not with them anymore.  He needed someone like Kobe to motivate him.  He’s lost without him.  Stick to bein a kardashian on that stupid show!!!

It’s only for one game, and I hope this is a wake up call.

I feel that it is deneaming and embarrassing, but what other options do the Mavs have? Cuban’s probably tried evverything he can do to make him happy, but maybe this will motivate him, cause if he stops whinning, the Mavs will start winning. I honestly believe that if Odom can even be a 12 and 7 guy that can run the offense at times and provide a spark plug for their offense, than they’ll be in great shape come May.

Change of plans, Lamar will skip his D-League visit, and report directly to the Mavs.

You guys seem to have 4gotten that this man buried his child only a few years ago..I’m guessing having friends and family surrounding him in LA gave him comfort..You could see the pain in his eyes when he got on the court with Dallas..I’m not taking up for him, becuz getting traded happens and its a apart of the game,he’s been traded several times….But this time it was different,i think he needs to sit out the rest of the year and get his life in order….Just becuz your rich and living in the spotlight, doesnt immune you from the pressures of everyday life,it makes it 10 times harder……
