thats a really close call actually. The NCAA champs best player would probably be the best player overall, but top to bottom the D-league team would be the better team. I always tend to think that Pro’s will be better than Amatuers, even at the highest level, so Id say that The D-league team would win. But i think it would be a ballgame.

d-league team would def win.  I think by 10 points is taking it on the safe side.  These guys are professionals, albeit at a lower level, but playing basketball is their job and they put way more time into it than most college kids who have other responsibilities.  The players on d-league teams are better than most people give them credit for.  Just my opinion though…. and antoine walker back in basketball in d-league. Do work antoine!!!

I say the College team..A team like Duke or Michigan State with a veteran squad that knows each other game will beat a D-League team..But it wont be a blowout..Becuz most of the guys in the D-League are there becuz they have holes in their games and need things to work on..They’ll play mostly 1 on 1 ball..In college most players have define roles…

I gotta go D-League just because of experience and depth.  The college national championship team pretty much every year has 1-3 players better than anyone who suits up in the D-League, but the D-League isn’t bringing 6’5” small forwards off the bench who will be teachers and accountants next year.  Everyone in the D-League is a pro basketball player, I’m not saying it would be a blow out or anything.  I think Duke last year could give the Vipers a run for their money, but I gotta go experience here.

Would be a great game for sure, but I’d have to give it to DLeague, most likely they’ve had better training and had some players in the NBA already. Especially if they played with NBA rules and tempo.

Looking at the Reno Bighorns, the only undefeated DLeague team left this season they got guys like Ewing Jr, Fazekas, Marcus Landry, DJ Strawberry and Whiteside with a few other pretty nice college players. Theyve all played ball at the highest level now and were college stars years ago. I dont think it would be very close if this team played this years Duke team. Duke is easily the best team in the nation right now I dont think its even close but they wouldnt have the experience or strength of a DLeague team.

By a pretty wide margin I am guessing. Yes, the best players on NCAA champions are sometimes better players than those in the D-League (Irving and Singler more than likely will be), but these are grown men going up against boys most likely. If you leave school early and go into the D-League, chances are you were still a very good college player. Other than those players, the guys who find themselves in the D-League are guys on the cusp of NBA rosters, have done quite well at the NCAA level and lastly are grown men. They are stronger and probably closer to their physical prime, plus they more than likely work non stop to try and make it to the league. I also think the D-League would be hungrier, and would want to totally thrown down to prove they have what it takes to beat some pretty boy college punks (terms I think they might use). So, if Duke wins again, I could definitely see them matching fairly well against a D-League team, but I still say they lose by quite a bit. Lets put it this way, Jon Scheyer, Brian Zoubek and Lance Thomas, you will either find them in Europe or the D-League. These are three keys to Duke’s title. Even if Duke is better this year with Irving and improved Plumlee’s, etc. they get crushed inside by some grown men. Especially if it is college rules, and big guys can stand down low the whole time. Regardless, it would be fun to see, but I go with the D-League. Duke barely beat Butler last year with one player who went lotto, another couple who might be good enough to make it to the NBA (Shelvin Mack definitely, Matt Howard maybe, but more likely D-League) and a bunch of guys lucky to make it to the D-League. I do not know how Duke would be rated higher until maybe their players reach their physical primes, which they have not.

The D-league team would win easily. You are forgetting that most D-League players were stars or very good players on their college teams. While a NCAA champ has 1 or 2 or even 3 stars, but alot of role players who have no future in professional ball. Pros will always beat college teams

Just about everyone in the NBDL was a star in college, and most did so at good programs.

    Let’s see, last year’s champs…

Mike Harris- finished his career as Rice’s all-time leading scorer (2,014 points) and rebounder (1,111 boards).

Will Conroy- the all-time assists leader in Washington Huskies history (515 assists).

Antonio Anderson- starting at the small forward position on Memphis in their runner up 2007–08 season.

Jonathan Wallace- started every game over the course of his four years at Georgetown.

Mickell Gladness- graduated having blocked 396 shots in only three seasons of Division I basketball, which was good enough to be in the all-time top 25.

Rich Melzer- Melzer was named Division III Player of the Year as a senior.

Julian Sensley- 18 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists per as a senior at Hawaii.

    They kill Duke.

D league team kills the collge team. Are all the players on the college team good enough to play in the d league?  no. The best player on the college team has nba talent but he’s picked more on his potential. Im pretty sure the best player ont he D-league team could do what the star ont he college team does in his first year in the nba most of the time
