d-ravParticipantWow, wouldn’t this make it that much more exciting. With the assembled trio at the Heat undoubtedly Kobe’s greatest challenge (one in which may propel him to even greater heights if he were to successfully defend their title aginst them), having Fish to leave for MIA would further increase the challenge, thus making their future matches more highly anticipated. Regarding Fish however, do you think he’d be the perfect complement for the Heat trio?

stanford hoopsKobe’s greatest challenge IF Miami gets to the title game which isn’t a given with Boston and Orlando. I doubt fish goes there. He’s complaining about the money the lakers are offering but miami can’t offer the same or more

doubledribblerParticipantIf the money is comparable, I don’t see him leaving LA. It’s hard for me to see a guy who has won championships with a team as a starter leave, especially if the team is still competing and winning those rings. I expect him to sign back with LA. He will probably start again this year, but Blake will get plenty of mins to keep Fisher fresh.
As far as Mia goes, I think everyone is waiting to see what they can pull together with the little money they have to spend. If they sign or have signed Mike Miller as reported I would think they only have money for minimum contracts (which are based on number of years pro in NBA) and then the ability to re-sign Udonis Haslem for whatever they agree to. Fisher isn’t going to be a minimum guy.

Toronto16ParticipantI thought Fisher had to stay in LA because of his ill daughter?

stanford hoopsThat was a couple years ago. I heard his daughter is doing better. Haslem is on the taser but he would have to take a major pay cut. From 7mill to like 1mil. I read Utah is close to getting him

IknoBall12Participanti wonder how all this will play out. i mean i kno kobe is really pushing and talking 2 fish about coming back. but at the same time its no secret a lot of LA fans are ready 2 see a new point guard whos capable of guarding the point guards in the west. and i think fishs daughter is doing well enough now that he can prob leave for a year and shed still be okay with the doctors and such.
