The Boston Celtics are working him out. Does anyone else see a problem with a player that could die at any second because of a very weak heart being invited by an nba team. On the other side if I was Cuttino Mobley I would have laughed and rejected the offer rather quickly. The knicks didn’t play him because he could easily die but the Celtics see no issue with this.

hes a good player… but at what expense does a team want to win? Knicks did the right thing by not agreeing to risk his life and the celtics should do the same.

Why would anyone want Cuttino Mobley when he had to retire because of having a heart condition? Love his game and i hope the best for him, but i dont see him coming back to the NBA.

He’s not stupid and neither are the Celtics. I’m sure they’ve ran tests, etc. It must be OK for him to play.

IF it wasn’t, I don’t think he’d be risking his life.

They can run all the tests they want, the fact of the matter is he has a condition that made him leave the league once already. He must love the game a lot more than me, I’m not dying for it.

He had that same condition with the Clippers and he played. It didn’t become a problem until he played for the Knicks.

they said the same thing about Eddy Curry when he was traded from the Bulls to the Knicks the exact same issue if he’s getting a invite from a NBA team there’s nothing wrong with the guy compared to a 300 pound curry with heart problems running up and down the court!! Bull Sh**

Mobley was still playing when they ran test on him..that said he had a heart condiion..
Pro athletes are given a full examination 3 times a year..So i was kind of surprised that Mobley retired..
And they said the same thing about Eddy Curry..Thats way the Knicks were 1 of the few teams that were willing to take a chance on him..They talked like Curry had only a short time to live…
Ronny Turiaf was told he had a heart problem..He’s still playing..
Then you have guys like Jason Collier..He didnt know he had a heart problem..He didnt die on the court..He died at his home…If i was Mobley i wouldn’t take a chance..He should just go and enjoy life…

wow. the celtics? really? i really hope they’ve thought this through. could end up reggie lewis all over again. btw, turiaf had to have open hear surgery, and to this day wears a chest guard. mikhail torrence recently had a similar condition he was told he could play through you see where hes at now. tests arent everything

Just to let you guys know…Mobley has had this condition since he was in Houston, so its not like teams haven’t taken that risk with him. But it is a HUGE risk nonetheless…I remember seeing Hank Gathers fall out and collapse…that was disturbing and God forbid anything like that ever happens again.

I love how everyone is blaming the celtics for having interest in Mobley as if they are trying to kill him…obviously its his decision to play and accept the offer. he can help Boston honestly. Hes a spot up shooter who doesnt have to play many minutes. I doubt he’ll die if he plays 5 to 10 mins a game unlike Reggie Lewis who played 30 plus mins. The celts and Mobley know somehting we dont know so stop hating. only LA lovers and Celtic haters seem to have a problem with this

Why is it that everyone associated with the Knicks has a heart condition?
