Cuse closing in on frontcourt help
Illini getting instant frontcourt help
11:13AM ET
Illinois Fighting Illini
Nothing is official yet, but it is looking more and more like Coastal Carolina power forward Sam McLaurin will transfer to Illinois for next season. As a graduate student, he will be eligible to play immediately.
If this happens as expected, it'll be a huge one-year addition for an otherwise unproven, youthful Illini frontline that can no longer count on Meyers Leonard to carry the load. The 6-foot-8, 230-pound McLaurin averaged over 7 points and 7 rebounds while shooting at least 65 percent from the floor in each of the last two seasons, and one would think he'd have a chance to start immediately.
John Groce will need more out of young bigs Nnanna Egwu and Mike Shaw as sophomores next season, but the addition of McLaurin would relieve some of that pressure. Tyler Griffey, who averaged just over 16 minutes a game last season, also returns.

If you click on the link, it'll bring you to the page with NCAA rumors. But if you go to ESPN's main page and then scroll over the NCAA BB section, it says: Cuse closing in on frontcourt help.

Michael Gbinije is transfering from Duke to Syracuse. And despite the ban of conference opponents, Coach K didnt include soon-to-be ACC members SU and Pitt on the restricted list.

I've never asked for anybody to post an ESPN insider article before, but being a Cuse fan, I'm interested in seeing who this story is about. If you scroll of NCAA BB the main headline under the Insider is: Rumors: Cuse closing in on frontcourt help
If you could post the article, that would be awesome, but even just telling me the name of the player would be appreciated. It caught me off guard because I don't think we are getting any high school players for the up coming season, unless it's a transfer.
