McDunkinThis game is pretty good so far
Dougie McDermott was hot at the start but ever since the end of the first half it has been back and forth and Illinois st has looked great

providencefriars1ParticipantI never realized McDermott was so good in the post. He has one of the best back to the basket games ive seen this year and it makes him lethal all over the court.

river09ParticipantJeez, McDermott is fun to watch. Absolutely putting on a show of his skills.. Stepping out, backing down, decent passing, curling off screens, excellent footwork..

river09ParticipantIs McDermott only 6’7”? That’s what he’s listed at on ESPN.. Just watching the game he seemed more like 6’9”-10”…

Mr. 19134ParticipantNah McDermott is atleast 6’8" that’s what USA basketball had him listed and it seems to be true.
I don’t understand why McDermott isn’t making a bigger buzz and isn’t in contention for NPOY, I know he shouldn’t win it over Robinson or Davis but dude she atleast be getting votes his skill set and production is ridiculous on offense.
I there a better offensive weapon in college basketball right now then McDermott? He’s shooting 60% from the field and 50% from 3 that’s unreal.
He reminds me of a stronger Adam Morrison in college. He can get off a shot at any angle and his shooting touch is legendary.
This kid can score at any level with that touch and post footwork. He’s going to have a long NBA career just because he can shoot so well. Just look at the career Korver has made for himself and McDermott is no doubt more talented then Korver in every way, plus he’s more athletic.
Miller and Babbit were both high level athletes in college. McDermott almost reminds me of Glen Robinson the way he operates in the mid range, can post up, and shoot the 3.
If he stays we’re looking at another Jimmer Freddette type of buzz. If he declares he’s going to make an instant impact off somebodies bench next year and be a steal if he sneaks outside the top 20.

JoeWolf1I love that despite his wide skill range that he’s not afraid play physical down low. Most stretch forwards aren’t as tough as McDermott.
He reminds me of Andres Nocioni, but not as dirty.
