ghettosermonParticipantLets see who can create the best possible team while staying under the 58 mil salary cap number.
You can find cap numbers here: http://hoopshype.com/salaries/miami.htm
Use this year’s cap numbers. Make a complete 12 man roster. You can just round some of the cap #’s and it’s ok to go over a little bit but no more than 2 mil over.
Here’s mine:
PG: Russell Westbrook(4m)/Darren Collison(1.3m)
SG: Kevin Durant(6m)/Tyreke Evans(3.8m)/Lance Stephenson(700k)
SF: LeBron James(14.5m)/Damion James(1.1m)/Jonas Jerebko(760k)
PF: Al Horford(5.4m)/Javale Mcgee(1.6m)
C: Dwight Howard(16.5m)Brook Lopez(2.4m)Total: With my rounding exactly 12 players, 58.06 mil.
__________________________________Here would be another idea I’d have using completely different players, this team would run it up and down on any team:
PG:Derrick Rose(5.5m)/John Wall(5.1m)
SG: Dwayne Wade(14.5m)/Stephen Curry(2.9m)
SF: Gerald Wallace(9.8m)/DeMar Derozan(2.4m)/Dominic Mcguire(885k)
PF: Josh Smith(11.6m)/Carl Landry(3m)
C: Taj Gibson(1.1m)/Deandre Jordan(850k)/Leon Powe(915k)Total:59 mil

Toronto16ParticipantSymbol you need 13 players on your roster by NBA rules. Your team only has 11.

ChewyParticipantYou can always fill out a roster with d-league minimum guys. I doubt any good team has a rotation of over 10-11 guys.

ghettosermonParticipantChewy even though it’s not his natural fit you’d really have Eric Gordon as your starting SG over Durant?

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantPG Rajon Rondo (9m)/Stephen Curry (2.9m)/Jrue Holiday (1.6m)
SG OJ Mayo (4.5m)/Thabo Sefolosha (3m)
SF Kevin Durant (6m)/Nic Batum (1.2m)/Luc Mbah a Moute (850k)
PF David West (8.3m)/Joakim Noah (3.1m)
C Dwight Howard (16.5 m)/Robin Lopez (1.9m)Total: 58.9m
A team that excels in the half court. Terrific defensively anchored by Dwight Howard and Rajon Rondo with excellent defenders like Holiday, Sefolosha, Batum, Mbah a Moute and Noah coming off the bench. Shooters like Durant, Mayo, Curry and West spread the floor.

ChewyParticipantThere is no way I would start Gordon over Durant! haha I just did that so that because I think his natural position is the 3. With my team I would run KD at the 2 and Lebron at the 3 and sometimes maybe KD at the 3 and lebron at the 4.

Stojakovicfor3Participantghettosermon, I like your oster but you have everyone playing out of position. McGee and Horford play C, KD plays SF, Stephenson plays PG Stephen Curry plays PG Taj Gibson plays PF DeRozan plays SG and Powe plays PF. You have all of them playing different positions.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantAnother team. This one is based on Miami’s big three but surrounds them with some really nice talent at bargain prices. A full 13 man roster which gives Triami three point guards that can play off the ball and shoot in order to open things up for Lebron and DWade as well as three true centers that can rebound and block shots.
PG Stephen Curry (2.9m)/Aaron Brooks (2m)/George Hill (1.2m)
SG Dwyane Wade (14m)/Marcus Thornton (750k)
SF Lebron James (14.5m)/Nic Batum (1.2m)/Jonas Jerebko (760k)
PF Chris Bosh (14.5m)/Dejuan Blair (900k)
C Joakim Noah (3.1m)/Brook Lopez (2.4)/JaVale McGee (1.6)59.8 m
