Do you think they will get traded beforethe deadline?
And what team will they get traded to?

Memphis MadnessParticipantI wish there was a way that Dwight Howard and Chris Paul could end up on the same team. Those two would be great together.

doubledribblerParticipantI think Chris Paul will make anyone look better. Look at what he has had to play with the last few years. Sure he’s not getting to the conference finals, but I’m not sure how many stars would even take his teams to the playoffs.

Krypt GussParticipantif the Hornets were able to keep CP3.
He’s the face of the franchise along with David West. Sadly, they don’t have any room to sign a big name, thanks to Okafor’s inflated contract. They should have kept Chander 3 years ago and gone to sign a SG…

MagikKnickParticipantI think Deron Williams is going to Dallas, hes originally from Dallas, he recently fired his old agent, and his new agent…well, hes also the agent of Tyson Chandler and Jason Kidd, imo..he wants to go home, and based on how fast he decided to go overseas, imo, NJ isnt even an option
As far as Dwight, i think he’ll either stay in ORL, go to LAL, or NYK
And CP3, Same thing, LAL, NYK, NOH, or ORL

omphalosParticipantDoes anyone else feel like NOH would be a great fit with Dwight if they could sign him? Perhaps even work out a sign and trade for Emeka.
Think about it; you’ve got Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Ariza as your defensive stopped/spot-up shooter, D-West (assuming they can re-sign him) as your third scorer, and a promising young coach in Monty Williams.
Not saying this will ever happen, but would be epic if it did.

rileymcshea3ParticipantYeah I like omphalos idea i think its better to get two superstar players and have solid starters instead of the Heats plan with 2 superstar players and one close superstar with cheap roster fill outs .And the Hornets will have one of the top assist leaders and steals leader, with one of the Blocks leaders and best the best rebounder in the league

rileymcshea3ParticipantYeah if they do go to the Bobcats they should change the logo and team name because bobcats just dont seem like a likeable team .And if they change it to something cool, Charlottes new basketball team would be the most loved and there economy would boom .Those international Heat haters would grab on to that Charlotte Band wagon in a second.

LBJKDParticipantI want Dwight to go to chicago but financially he wont be able to I read the state of the cap on the bulls on the home page and they have no room to fit him. And noone is going to take boozers contract. They would need to rid themselves of noah and possibly deng and they still need to resign their MVP. But you never know. In my opinion chris and deron one of them will stay with their respective team and dwight will go join one of them and the other who does will go somewhere but I just can’f figure out where

LBJKDParticipantDeron to Dallas I can actually see. That would give them a more then solid chance to get another title while dirk is still in his prime. But now that I think about watch out for MJ to make a big big move he likes to be number 1 not mediocre as he is right now. He ight just say hey chris you nad dwight come play for me. Just because he is MJ they’ll take a good look at that.

HitsterParticipantDeron to Dallas is interesting but they would need to refresh the roster as come 2012-13 season, Dirk will be 34, Marion and Terry a similar age and whilst Chandler will only turn 30 next year, he’ll be into 12th NBA season then so will have a fair few miles on the clock and someone like Deron would look maybe 3 years ahead to what would be his prime years.
Boston have a load of expiring deals next year so could possibly look at Dwight I suppose and the Lakers with Bynum’s contract will always be discussed.

TyroberParticipant@rileymcshea3. Obviously Minnesotas pick would be the biggest trade piece to get CP3, Williams, or Dwight Howard there

WrecklessParticipantI really think Dwight would be a perfect fit in New Jersey, maybe a package around Brook Lopez and their 2012 first Rd pick will get a little of Orlando’s attention?

TheLastWordParticipantNJ cannot trade their 2012 pick since their 2011 was traded. Unless the new CBA changes that.

HitsterParticipantNJ were not prepared to trade Brook Lopez to get Deron Williams as far as I can recall but I suppose if Dwight was on the block then they would have to make a move for him.
The fun scenario might be that Deron could move on and maybe CP3 ends up at the Nets. With the Lakers I’d be interested to see whether they would chase the dominant big in Dwight or maybe look for one of the top 3 PG’s in the league who could keep Kobe going for a few more years.
Also with that loaded 2012 draft I wonder how many lottery teams now may be a lot stronger then and might just attract one of the big name FA’s.
