I think everyone agrees Demarcus Cousins has all the tools to be great, but his work ethic is always in question. Well at the combine he measured in at 292 lbs with 16.2% body fat. Do you think these numbers show he has a bad work ethic and could he drop alittle bit because of it.

You would think if people questioned your work ethic you would try to lose weight and gain some cardio, but Cousins seems the same even though he had like a month to train for the combine.

Cousins is a huge kid, but 16.2% body fat is very high considering he’s supposed to be working out every day, etc.

Cousins has Eddy Curry type bust potential in the worst case scenario. Attitude, emotional and conditioning/weight problems which will lead to injuries.

They would have to tell me how they were tested for me to fill that with his frame he is 16.2 body fat. Also 16.2 body fat is not terrible. I was saying earlier he looks like he would benifit him to restructure his body or lose 20 lbs because that extra weight looks like it hinders him from being explosive. Cousins has red flags but he is still the best low post presence in this draft and should go high. Most of the time an NBA player needs a year to know where his body needs to be. Durant was too weak in his rookie year when going to the basket. Dwight Howard bulk up after his rookie year to be about 275 to 280 to play in the post. I think Cousins adjustments will be key. Also it could be still losing body fat and may wind up in the 12 to 10 range when summer league starts.

with 16% body fat at 292 lbs.. that means with 0% he would be at 245…

just by playing in an 82 game season… i guarentee he drops down to around 275…

anyways.. im with sheltwon… 16.2 is not bad…

to me. i mean Charles Barkley was never a skinny guy and i think hes 1 of the greatest players ever. I think cousins is jus going 2 be 1 of the biggger guys in the NBA who can play at his weight. He didnt seem 2 have 2 much trouble at Kentucky playing at his size.

You can get into better shape, you can work on your game, but certain things dont change. IQ , attitude, and work ethic. Either you have it or no, It is like changing your height. I think it is crazy that people are in love with this guy. Did anyone see the interviews with him. If you were a GM and you interviewed Monroe and Cousins, i take the guy who has be coached by a class university program( G-Town) and not Calapari who is one step above a slick used car salesmen. What because a guy has a few inches longer reach. Cousins is big and strong but not like Shaq when he came out. He doesnt have the explosion.
