Cousins

Im watching the Nuggets&Kings game and to me it looks like the refs are picking on Cousin (i know i might lose my few points i do have on this one lol)but i know he's immature and a big baby but it seem some of the stuff they are calling is extreme (fouls,techs,3sec)what you think?

Eh. I know one thing, the announcers are picking on him.
Although I didn't see anything when he was hit with the Techinical; maybe he yelled something. I saw the arms move, but seriously why is a ref looking at him while the ball is in play? He's on the ground.
Maybe a little bit of picking on him from them as well

It seems as if the whole

It seems as if the whole third quarter was "lets bash Cousins time"...

This from announcers who admit that they have been able to watch only a few Kings games this year.

Refs hate dominating big men

Refs hate dominating big men Dwight Howard is one of the goofiest guys in the NBA and leads the league in techs? The Refs have allowed opposing teams to beat the crap out of Shaq for 15 years, its just the way it is. Demarcus will just have to learn to deal with it and focus on playing the best he can and not letting the other insignificant stuff take away from his play. After all Haters Gonna Hate!

True. ^^^ I watched Yao Ming

True. ^^^

I watched Yao Ming in Houston; it's horrible.
Scratches, Blood, & Bruises are always shown on the TV when they zoom in on Yao.
They actually try and point it out (They being the Commentators for Houston)

new school sheed lol.

I hope David Kaun is right and DMC is a bust with his 1st team and explodes with his 2nd team. I think he needs a new team. I know its only his first season but that young team is not going to help Cousins get any better or become more mature. The more I think about it the Sixers should have drafted him with the 2nd pick. Brand and Battle could have been great for his game and attitude. Not to mention we needed a center bad. Smh at the Sixers for that pick. I still believe in Turner but now my focus is on Kanter in the draft. I hope he falls but if not I'm banking on an Iguadola plus future first for a top pick. We need a true Center and number 1 option on offense.

u don't know basketball. keep daydreamin

Cousin isn't a bust. And doesn't matter how much you want him to bust, he isn't going to bust. And he's staying in Sacramento . You must be a Sixers fan, and even though the Eastern side is weak, Kings got more chance and potential to make the playoff next year than Sixers ever will.

I hope I Hope,, to much of your "I Hope"... Cousin is the 2nd best Rockie and he's getting better.

^ easy there buddy my

^ easy there buddy my filipino friend. Sac Town has a lot of talent, but they're missing one more piece in my opinion. Give Cousins a few more years and he'll be solid. I don't think he'll be a bust. As for the Sixers, they should have went with Cousins but they still got an amazing player in Turner. Once Iguodala leaves, Turner will be a better player.

A bust with his first team?

A bust with his first team? Cousins is a 20 year old center who had scored 20 or more points in 4 of his last 5 games (and had 16 points and 8 boards in the other game). He's averaging 12.5 ppg and 7.7 RPG in 25.8 mpg despite a steep learning curve this season. IMO by the end of the year he'll be around 15 ppg and 8.5 rpg and should grab a spot on the all-rookie team as well as a top 3 or 4 finish in the ROY race.

i didnt watch the game

i didnt watch the game tonight, but for the last 10 days i've been in sac and have only been able to watch kings games. Cousins has a ton of talent and the type of talent that you cant always teach big men. He passes well and is unslefish and has good hands. But mentally there is something off with him. The kings fans are just happy that he is showing mental improvements, but you can tell everyone is on the edge of their seat with him waiting for him to do something dumb. And i dont just mean something big, but small little things like pouting and complainging and playing out of control becasue he is frustrated.

llperez is 100% correct.

llperez is 100% correct. Imagine if Cousins can get his maturity under control in a year or two. He could become a top center in the NBA.

He said "a" top center in the

He said "a" top center in the NBA.

And Cousins has to keep getting better. Every time I've watched Sacto, which hasn't been much, Cousins struggles to finish around the rim when he's matched up with athleticism. He's big and is a big talent, but his inefficiency seems to make him have trouble getting shots off as easily as before. I think he'll adjust sooner rather than later, but he's not a close to a finished product. I also think he can be a top big man, as long as he grows up and becomes better at finishing. I'm more worried about him growing up though.

Yeah i agree with that, he

Yeah i agree with that, he has the offensive skills, something which Dwight is only just picking up now. If he works hard and doesn't turn lazy i think he will be the top centre in the NBA. Maybe in 2-3 seasons.

Cosusins is the guy the media has decided to be their

crazy out of control black man. They have dubbed him the next Artest or Rasheed. The media can influence perception wich is what our media does everyday for a living. They try to encourage things to go in the most controversal direction for story's sake in order to distract from real issues. Cousins was dubbed the crazy bad boy of last years draft and the NBA and the media are going to do everything in their power to see he lives up to that. If they give him bad calls often he will get upset wich leads to techs, wich leads to us going he is like Rasheed or Artest and they get to talk about it. The kid can try to be better, but unfortunately that is not the role he is destined to play in their eyes. Lebron said: "Should I embrace my new role as a Villain" they never thought people would be mad about what he did so he now considers a different role. Who are you Lebron? Apparently he's been playing a character and I'm not dissing him either. Question? They are atheletes playing a sport so why are they playing characters and roles? For story's sake I guess. F$ck the media.

A guy like Cousins for his

A guy like Cousins for his size will always get called for fouls for that reason alone, despite their antics neither Sheed or Artest had bad NBA careers winning titles and making the AS game.

The 76ers are further along than the Kings unless the 76ers decide to trade say Iggy and Brand and really start from scratch around Turner, Holiday, Hawes and Speights etc. The Kings have made good draft choices the last few years and a pass first PG who could go along with Evans and learn from Udrich or one of the SF/PF's from this year's draft crop would seem to be the logical way for Geoff Petrie to go.

Cousins is gona be a good player. He might have to destroy Sacramento in the process but he will be.

I really don't understand

I really don't understand why Cousins can't just decide to grow up and let his training and game do the talking. He's just ruining it for himself.

If he could use that attitude for the good of the team i.e being the "enforcer". Then he'd probably get more love.
