If the Wizards take Bennett at 3, then chances are that Pelicans will have a choice between Burke and Porter.

I read that the Pelicans are very high on Porter but figured he wouldnt be available that late in the draft. But if the Pelicans are able to grab Porter at 6, then Burke could really slide in this draft.

Burke could be a good fit in Sacramento, but McCollum and Zeller would also be good candidates for that spot. Plus, for what its worth Kings management is apparently not too high on Burke.

Burke could also be a selection for the Pistons, but Detroit already has so many undersized guards. I have them picking MCW just so they can play Knight comfortably off ball while having a pass-first guard who can feed their bigs.

After the Pistons, Burke could easily slid all the way to the Jazz. It’s a lot of hypotheticals, but could happen based on team need.

I agree it is interesting to think how it will all shake out and the biggest question is would Detroit take the UM product or go with the size of MCW to compliment Knight. I am much higher on Burke than I am on MCW so I would take him and deal with the undersized backcourt. They would be a nightmare to guard because they are both good shooters and can get to the rack despite their size. It would be like the Bucks backcourt but with better shooting.

I also wonder if somehow Burke did start falling would Dallas have any interest in him at 13. I know they are looking to stash a player or trade the pick but I am assuming they weren’t thinking Burke would be around. They were trying to clear money to get Paul and Howard but with Doc going to LA it doesn’t look like the elite PG will be on the market….why not draft Burke and move forward with him running the show?

One other thing we must consider when talking of a potential slide for Burke is teams that would want to trade up to get him. Dallas seems like they are willing to make a move with the 13th pick. Not many teams behind them need PGs but the darkhorse team that really needs a point guard that I think could move this years 1st and next years first could be the New York Knicks.

You’re completely right about the possibility of a team trading up to get Burke if he slides. As a Knick fan, I would be thrilled if we were able to get Burke out of this draft. Unfortunately, I’m not sure what they could offer.

Dallas would be a good fit, but if Cuban truly wants to free up cap space then he’ll probably still trade the pick. Having Burke available could only increase the trade value of the 13th slot.

I have the Pelicans taking Len and the Pistons taking MCW. I ended up having Dallas taking Burke at 13. I know they talked about moving their pick, but if he is there I think they decide that they can’t pass him up.

It felt weird ranking him so low, but as everyone says, size rises the closer you get to the draft.

I feel like he could go from 2-15. That might be the biggest range of any first rounder.

Knight is moving to SG..He won’t slide past the Pistons.. Tough kid, went to Michigan it would be good marketing stunt for them. There fan base has struggled the last couple of years.

If he slides, I hope the Magic move back up to get him, especially if he’s still there for the Dallas pick. That would be a steal imo
