Could Budinger be the most complete two guard in this draft?
There is no shooting guard more ready to make an impact in this draft than Chase. He will be one of the best players in this draft. He has the most skills in terms of finding ways to score out of all the two guards in this draft. If I need a two guard in this draft there is no one I would take before Chase. I would not take Tyreke over Chase because he can't shoot. Who is the best legit 2 guard in this draft ready to step in and score now?
Harden is a better shooter, ball handler, passer, and defender. The only thing Chase has on Harden is athleticism and a little height. I like Budinger, but I don't think he goes top 10. He has trouble creating his own shot, and despite what NBAdraft.net analysis says, I don't think he finishes well around the rim when he is in traffic or get's bumped. Also, his shooting drops significantly when he is forced to put it on the floor. I think he will be a very solid and safe pick, but I don't think his potential is all that high for him to make a major impact in the league.
I don't think Harden is the best 2 guard. I have not been too high on him all year. I feel he is to slow and does not shoot as well as Chase coming off of picks. I think Chase has a higher release point on his shot and guys will have a hard time bothering his shot. To me harden is not nearly as athletic and he is slow with his trigger, with a shot a longer and more athletic player is going to be able to bother. I may be alone, but I like Chase over Harden. I am not a fan of him. Not impressed really. Chase was the best player in the game against North Carolina in the tournament. He was the only player Jordan Hill included who brought his A game against them. He was the only wildcat who showed he could compete against that talent that night. I think people have him underrated. I don't like a lot of the picks I see on this mock going before him. I am very high on Chase. The way he shoots the ball off of screens and his finishing ability in the open court has sold me on him being a serious scorer in the NBA.
ummm Arizona didn't play North Carolina in the tournament.
Budinger defense could slide him in to the twenties
I think Budinger goes between 13-17. Like I said, he is a safe pick because he can shoot, pass, and is an incredible athete. He runs the court effortlessly and already has NBA range. However, unless he's getting uncontested layups or open shots either on spot up's or off screens, he really does'nt do anything spectacular. He can't take guys in the NBA off the dribble. He can't post up. He can't defend. And if you get physical with him, he is soft as can be. You rarely see him hanging in the air making contested jumpers or shots around the rim. He pretty much has to have his shoulders squared so he can go straight up and down on his shot. Think Brent Barry with less ball handling. There is nothing wrong with drafting a guy compared to Brent Barry, but I would'nt use a top 10 pick on him or consider him to be better all around then Harden.
He will likely be a spot up shooter. He doesnt have the speed and quickness to consistently get in the lane at the NBA level off the dribble. He couldnt get in the lane that much in college off the dribble. He is a Brent Barry kind of guy (good call) but he isnt a great all-around player because of his lack of quickness.
Haha... He was the best player in the UNC game in the tourney?? Thats too funny!!! This guy is a real basketball guru. He really know his stuff. Great post my man!! He must be a "scout-4-real."
