yeah, i’m slso eager to see the scouting report on those 2 guys…

cory joseph is a sleeper…i wont be surprised if he gets drafted ahead of knight and walker….

i really hope tristan thompson remains in school another year…. i think he can be a top 5 pick next year, when he works on his perimeter game…he’s a 1st round pick this year,but in the 14 to 30 range.. becuz of his weak offensive game and poor outside shooting……….

Tristan Thompson reminds me alot of Ed Davis. Wiry and long, alright motor, has a simple jump hook in his arsenal and no other true post move, very right-hand dependent, and a decent rebounder and post defender. He’s a mid 1st round pick, but he might be a 2012 prospect.

more advanced then Ed Davis but i can see the similarities. He would be best served to come back for another year ala Jordan Hamilton. He could have a similar progression or Jordan Williams

Tristan Thompson is actually left handed. I think hé has more offensive upside than Ed Davis. He has a developing face-up game and is a good passer out of double team.

He’s not much if at all more polished than Ed Davis though. He can struggle significantly if you cut off his left hand. Ed Davis also has a "developing" face-up game too.

What’s so much better about Cory Joseph than Demetri McCamey? Is it cause he’s younger? Idk if he’s better than him at any aspect of the game. Cory is a good but unspectacular prospect to me. Could stand to stay another year, cause he has the ability to be a star at the college level. Having a solid freshman year though.

IMO he doesn’t have elite speed/quickness, he’s got a mere 6ft4 wingspan on a 6ft3 frame. His perimeter game is unrefined and he seems limited as a playmaker. Point is, while I may be wrong,  I really think to make it as a stater on the next level, he’s gonna really need to know the game and have elite intangibles.

I disagree man. You just look at the guys starting in the league, and there’s no reason to think with time he can’t be a starter with time (maybe not even within his 1st contract, but with time). If you don’t like his game, which for whatever reason many ppl don’t, just say it. But all I know when I watch him play, you see a kid who just knows how to play and understands the position. No he’s not explosive or super fast, but he gets where he needs to go. And like I said in a previous post, he reminds me of a modern version of Baron Davis, after the injuries, as he as great vision and uses his size to impose his will on opponents and shows that unlimited range. Could he be better at certain things, of course, but then again who’s a perfect player?

And I’m tired of the notion that a player isn’t a winner. Because people (and scouts) pick and choose when they want that to apply. I heard the whispers (and screams by some) that McCamey’s team not getting in the tourney last year and losing some games brought his stock down etc. That is complete garbage to me. If u can play, u can play!

 Joseph isn’t going to be able to defend at the level he does now. Bradley is worlds ahead of him defensively, and he is still having issues transitioning. Actually, as a college player I like his game, but he isn’t going to have that much of a size advangtage in the NBA, and yes he gets to where he wants now, but that doesn’t always translate to the next level. Again, I haven’t really been able to watch much Texas this season so my analysis is really from the few times I’ve been able to see em.
