BenchWarmerParticipantKevin Durant you did it, I know you get a lot of gratification out of this one. Congratulations on the ring, the tshirts and hats that have "champions" ironically printed across your chest.. you might win 4 straight championships with your current team, but you? You will never be a champion sir.

FuqdatassParticipantHe is an NBA champion and Finals MVP now, deal with it.

Bankroll PJParticipantHe’s a champion. He’s a finals MVP. He’s happy. Playing in a winning culture and a perfect system for him. BUT, real hoopers will never respect the move he made. He took a shortcut to becoming a champion. He cheated the competitiveness of the game by leaving his championship contending team to join the team that he blew a 3-1 lead against. Westbrook and OKC management may be the people to blame for Durant leaving, but no competitor leaves that situation to join the team that beat you. KD is a phenomenal player. I respect the way he backed up his decision with outstanding play in the finals. Best scorer in the world. Top 3 player in the world. Great person. High character. But at the end of day, he’s a coward IMO.

MatosParticipantI think thats what stings the most. That the Thunder only had to beat the W’s one more time. I don’t think there was any other team over the past three years that went up 3-1 on the Warriors. That meant the Thunder were legitimate contenders. That meant KD had a legitimate chance of being one of the GOAT. Putting it in perspective, it would have been equivalent to Steph Curry leaving the Warriors to join the Cavs last offseason after their 3-1 lead was blown.

mcbaileyParticipantI don’t know why we’re pretending that this was an impressive journey for Durant, but history won’t remember how cheap this one was. Congrats to him.

I stand by my theory that if only kd would’ve let westbrook play his reckless style of play and kd would have been the laidback, paced scorer he was in okc they would’ve never lost against GSW.
However, kd refused to let westbrook outplay him and started chucking every time he got a pass, playing with his head down, turning into a darkhole. Trying to prove that if westbrook can play like that, he could too.
He’s such a bum
