jerb2011ParticipantI was thinking about why this team was having problems earlier in the season and I realized. The big three (really LeBron and DWade) did not compliment each other. They both have the same style of play, attack the rim although they have solid/consistent jumpers-which is how most NBA athletes play early in their career-which made them quit playing as hard as they want to because they didn’t want to be selfish. So I was thinking about different players and how they would compliment each other and which set of players would win the most games. Here are a couple:
PG-Rondo (pass-first PG)
SG-DWade (attacker/slasher)
SF-Kevin Durant (shooter/scorer)
PF-LaMarcus Aldridge (do-it-all big)
C-Tyson Chandler (defensive big)
or
PG-Deron Williams (do-it-all-PG)
SG-Kevin Martin (shooter)
SF-Shane Battier (defender/slasher)
PF-Amare Stoudemire (athletic post player)
C-Pau Gasol (big that can stretch the floor)
which starting 5 would win more games?

Mr. 19134ParticipantThe first team because they got Wade and Durant and the other team don’t seriously.
Did you notice the Heat blew the Lakers out yesterday based on pure talent.
And the best example of the point you are trying to make is the Boston Celtics and how Rondo, Allen, Pierce, KG, and Perkins all compliment each other to a science it’s amazing. The Pass first PG. The Catch and Shoot Outside Sniper. The tough nosed all around, mid range excelling other wing. The finesse and athletic PF who can shoot, pass, and post. And The Pure Pivot the brute, the enforcer, the anchor Perkins.

MkadozaParticipantThe fact that Lebron isnt on either team makes me laugh.
By that argument, Jodran and Pippen arent conducive because their games were so similar…
My Starting lineup wins all.
PG- Russell Westbrook
SG- Ray Allen
SF- Lebron James
PF- Dirk Nowitzki
C- Dwight Howard

PG – Rose
SG – Gordon
SF- Odom
PF- Griffin
C- Love
The team passing would be crazy, ally oops all day.
