Mr. BasketballParticipantAssuming they don’t get Lebron, what can/will they do?

NarcParticipantThey can get a guy like Richard Jefferson…he would be a great fit. The Clippers have cap room, and a great roster to boot. I see a bright future for them.

llperezpray griffin is the real deal and baron plays inspired ball and they get a couple solid backups in free aghanecy to go along with aminu coming in. If everything works out like that, they could make a run at the playoffs next year.

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantIf Clippers don’t hit it big in free agency they should be patient and wait for a Marcus Camby type deal to come their way.

bkb77ParticipantThey have cap room which is a good thing, they could go after Richard Jefferson, or maybe even a guy like shaq or Iverson, but i dont see that happening, so look for them to be active in the trade market bc with the room they can take on a contract, now which contract im not sure but I know they tried real hard to get Iggy at the trade deadline, so look for someone like that as their best options.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantNow what…is that deal not going to be better than what they might get with giving deals to RJ or Pierce

butidonthavemoneyIs there any way they can lose Donald Sterling and Baron Davis? Any way at all?
Addition by subtraction. I think they are a playoff-contending team without those two.

Forte IVParticipantWe’re stacked imo with alot of young talent. Our new gm really wants us to be a very young and athletic team. All we are missing is a legit starting SF.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantTwo guys that wont contribute Big this year for a guy that Gets you the Starting SF of the Future for relatively cheap…Throw in 1st or 2nd rounder because 2 young prospects are not = to 1 Iguadola…If you guys have trouble signing Blake…we’ll give you Lou Williams…

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantHonestly I don’t think they should do much. Fill out their roster with some solid role players and defenders.
Maybe add a guy like Matt Barnes who will provide toughness, defence and three point shooting relatively cheap.
They have a very nice young lineup of the future with a couple of good veterans (Baron Davis and Chris Kaman) to hold over starting spots until Jordan and Bledsoe are ready to start:
PG Davis/Bledsoe
SG Eric Gordon
SF Aminu
PF Griffin
C Kaman/Deandre JordonI think they should give that young core lots of time to play together and see what works and what doesn’t. Once they have an idea of that maybe they can spend some big money next off season. Until then I think they shouldn’t make any major financial commitments to anybody long term if they are not elite players in the league.
If they are truly convinced that Jordon is their center of the future then I think they should trade Kaman while his value is still high around the league and playoff teams like Denver and Atlanta are looking to add an impact center.
