HaleParticipantNC State has a loaded team this year, they are a legitimate title contender with the talent and depth they have. I think Purvis will have a really nice freshman season for them. Regarding Jefferson, I don’t know what type of team he’d like more, but I hope he chooses State.

steviechillzParticipantCalvin is returning for his junior year to lead to Wolfpack back to the top of the ACC. NC State is gonna have so much depth next year and if they somehow get Amile Jefferson, look out. How do you guys think CJ returning will impact Amile Jefferson’s decison? Will he want more playing time at Duke? Or is he a player who wants to win and play with other good players like Kentucky and NC State? I hope he chooses the Wolfpack!!!

scbe2223ParticipantWith this decision, I highly doubt Jefferson goes to State now. My guess is definitely Duke. Leslie is making the right decision though. He’s a good player now, and with a little refinement I think he can contend for POY next year.

CavsFan07ParticipantNC State v. UCLA would be a fun matchup to watch next year. Both return some talent, and have a solid class coming in.

Wahoo757ParticipantGood for him. Not only does he return to a very talented team which is an early contender for next year’s NCAA Championship, but he can also do wonders to his draft stock. According to a couple sites he’d be an early 2nd in the draft this year, but if he can either improve on his perimeter skills and be a SF, or gain some strength and work on his post moves and be a PF, then he has a shot at being a lottery pick.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantChemistry will be the key next season for North Carolina State, becuz sometimes you can have alot of talent, that doesnt mesh(see Washington). But if their coach can give each player a defined role, they’ll go far….

surveParticipantThis can be another Thomas Robinson situation, it is likely that by staying, CJ Leslie has made himself a richer man. I am happy for State (whenever they arent playing UNC). Jefferson should still keep State on his list because this could be a very good team not only this year, but the following as well. Its not like Jefferson is a one-and-done anyway.

With Jordan Vandenberg returning, they can play with the lineups more. They can go big with Howell at PF, Leslie at SF, Wood and Brown at the guard spots. Or they can go with the lineup from this year and be pretty quick and athletic using the freshman. If Jefferson went there, that could give State a 2-wave squad.

UNCbasketballbumParticipantNC State should be preseson top five and the favorites in the ACC this year. They are loaded and Mark Gottfried is a really really good coach.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantWho negged UNCbasketballbum?
NC State will undoubtedly be a top 5 team next year.
They have an excellent blend of athleticism (Leslie, Purvis, and Brown), size (Leslie, Brown, and Warren), shooting ability (Wood and Warren), and post play (Howell and Leslie).
I’d say they have a legit shot to go all the way. They are incredibly strong across the board and well-balanced.
I also like how Leslie, Purvis, and Brown are multi-positional.

McWinningParticipantDamn it someone i know could be playing at Nc State but he turned it down.
Their gonna be stacked next year. Dont forget about abou Tyler Lewis too.
I think next is year gonna be much more exiting next theirs no team quite as good as Kentucky but their a lot of really good team, and a lot of exiting prospects.

UNCbasketballbumParticipantYeah Dale, you tell them. NC State is definitely top 5 next year. CJ Leslie could be preseason ACC player of the year and an all-american. They should definitely build on their sweet 16 run next year.
