I really like what I saw in the Duke game, I know he is a very inconsistent player/shooter but I think this year he has shown much more consistency and is a more then capable defender and really defended Singler well in the First Half which disrupted Duke’s offense. He possesses very good athleticism and has talent and potential and I believe he is just beginning to learn how to utilize it. What are your thoughts of him as an NBA prospect and what his role will be in the league? Any comparisons? What do you like/dislike about his game and what do you think he really needs to work on?

I heard of scouts last year talk about Singleton’s upside..And when i watched him last year, he struggled to create shots for himself and seem kind of unsure what he should do with the ball once he got it…But he might be the best defender in the country, capable of guarding multiple positions..He reminds me of Atlanta’s Josh Smith…His lack of a refined offensive game will limit his success at the next level..But if he goes to a team that plays up-tempo and has a guard that can get him the ball in his favorite spots…Singleton will be a steal….He could go anywhere from the late lottery to the 2nd round….

Gerald Wallace IMO, kinda reminds me of K-Mart defensively.

Chris is probably the best defensive player in the nation.  He can guard any position.  His defensive ability and athleticism is not unlike Lebron’s.  The offensive side of the ball is another story, though.  In Hamilton’s offense (or lack there of), he needs an alpha dog scorer (ie: Thornton, Douglas) and Singleton is not that player yet.  He has made a dramatic improvement since last year in regards to hitting the open shot and getting to the line, but he is definitely not ready to contribute offensive in the NBA.  Not to mention to play for FSU, you have to have hands like feet and be able turn the ball over at will and Singleton will need time to learn to forget all the offensive traits he has picked up in his three years in Tallahassee.  That being said, Chris is one of the only players in college basketball that is athletic enough and has the defensive ability to play in the NBA right this second.
