McWinningParticipanthe has 7 points 9 assists 5 rebounds and 5 steals early in the third quarter think he can get a quadruple double?

MagikKnickParticipantHighly doubt it, 5 steals is hard to get already, getting 5 more would be insane…
5 more rebounds wont come easy eitherBut I think he’ll lock up his normal double-double

MkadozaParticipantJust reaffirms to me that Paul is the best point guard in the league. There is no better passer. There is no better defender at the point guard position. He may be the best rebounding point guard as well. If he ever shoots above 40% from three, he has a very real chance to go down as the best point guard of all time. He takes his teammates that struggles to drop 90 without him, leads them to wins. He is as dominant a ball player as anyone in the league.

JNixonParticipantHe’s the best passer and scorer at the PG position, but outside of that, he’s not the very best at any other attribute. Rondo, Kyle Lowry, and Chauncey Billups all defend better and Rondo, Kidd, among other s rebound better.

MkadozaParticipantBest rebounder because he’s only 6’0″ with an average winspan. He isnt 6’4 like Kidd, and still averages 5+ boards a game. If he put his mind to it, 7 boards would be easy. Kidd has always actively pursued rebounds, while Paul gets his by simply outhustling and smart positioning. Billups and Lowry are different defenders, using their core strength to harrass and contest, but niether of them have the anticipation or quick hands that Paul has. Rondo, maybe, but again, he focuses on that end of the floor. Paul has to give 100% on offense to make sure his team is efficient on O. Like Kobe, Paul doesnt go 100% because of his offensive responsibilities. But again, this is opinion. Only Rondo has a higher defensive rating and defensive win shares over the past couple of years, but similar to Lebron, he’s a very good (underrated) on the ball defender, and the most dynamic off the ball defender in the league at the pg position.

joe2BAParticipantWhat do you mean “any other attribute” than passing and scoring
For a PG…
Passing and Scoring >>>>>>> rebounding
Of course defense is the only other attribute has as much significance. But if you are in any way insisting that Rondo is a better PG, i REALLY disagree

IndianaBasketballParticipantLeBron’s on the ball D is overrated if anything. He let Wallace sh*t on him.

Meditated StatesParticipantThe best thing your point guard can do 4 you is be a great passer and keep the other teams pg out the lane. No one does that better than Rondo. He has owned Tony Parker wich has Given the C’s dominanace over SA the last few years. Parker gets in the lane on everyone except Rondo. Westbrook was shut down and kept out the lane tonight as well. Rondo has a history of locking up Devin Harris too. He is the key to the Celtics O and D. That kid is underrated. If the Celtics lose it is because Rondo is not aggresive enough. He killed Nash last year. This year when they played he was not aggressive and Phoenix won. Rondo is the key player on the team.

itsOvaParticipantCP3 is no doubt the best PG in the league right now, and the 2nd best is not even close to him (I think Dwill is the 2nd best right now)
And I would pick Paul over Rondo on any given day. Switch them, and I bet the hornets would not do much better than the nets.0 - Posted on: Sat, 12/05/2009 - 3:49am #235751
R-Dot-13ParticipantSwitch them, and the celtics never lose a game .
