dwat4444ParticipantSo, according to sources(http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nba/news/story?id=5550421), chicago is interested in melo’..if so, the question is how much is chi-town willing to give up, and will melo sign an extension if chicago is his future team. The best trade i could think of was http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=34zuz7u
however, i’m sure there plenty of ideas running around, so thoughts…0 - Posted on: Thu, 09/09/2010 - 2:20pm #397988
TooNice4TVParticipanti think that this seems more reasonable since he wanted orlando to be a possible destination… They’d still have Jameer, VC, Melo, anderson, and Dwight as their starting 5..

Haven’t heard too much about detroit included in the melo talks that’s why

ChewyParticipantChicago does not give up Noah. Neither Rose, Boozer or Carmelo are lock down defenders. I think Noah’s rebounding and defense is critical for any hope of Chicago becoming a championship contender. I’d give up any or all of Deng, Gibson, Johnson and picks.

dwat4444Participantok someone is going to have to take Deng’s contract if chicago wants melo. So, if denver, who more than likely wont take him, doesnt’ a third team will have to come into play. I’m thinking detroit or cleveland could aid this situation. Also, Denver wont take Lewis, they’ll be stuck in mediocrity with a terrible contract for 4 years.

PlatypusParticipantBest offer i can see Orlando offering would be
Carter (expiring), Pietrus (expiring), Gortat, Bass, and 2 first rounders for Birdman, Smith, and Mello
Denver would reject…
