Cheeks to Pistons

What does this mean for their draft plans? Do you all think they'll still go PG or does he believe he can coach up Knight? I still think MCW looks like their best option at 8.

Hard to say. MCW is probably our top choice but I think we're gonna do like in 2011 and wait to see if anyone in the top 6 falls into our lap(regardless of position, like when we drafted Knight).

Kevin Martin or Monta Ellis

They need a 2 guard that can get to the free throw and get buckets. They got the Post lock up for now! Draft wise they need a 3 or some talent off the bench. I have them taking Anthony Bennett.

Bennett is not a 3. He is a 4. And, oh yeah, they have Monroe at the 4.

I think that Pistons have a chance to get Andre Iguodala, due to the history with him and Cheeks. As for the draft, I would still take Len if he's available(I doubt). But also take Shabazz due to his effortless ability to score.

Good point by Sharpshooter,

Good point by Sharpshooter, Iggy would be a fantastic fit for the Pistons and they have cap room to sign him. Joe Dumars could do Iggy a front loaded deal so there would still be cap flexability when the guys on rookie deals get their renewals.

For the draft if the Pistons do think that Knight can be their PG then if Oladipo fell to them he'd be a nice fit with Iggy giving them elite defenders at 2 and 3.

I'm kinda hoping they draft

I'm kinda hoping they draft Shabazz and convert him to a SG over the summer while looking for a SF by trade(preferably Deng or Granger). It might be a good idea to also take a look at Tyreke Evans. Him at the PG would be a pretty good fit alongside Knight at the SG if they go that route.

Nate McMillan

Was hoping he was the guy, gotta believe he turned it down. Great coach, he needs to be hired somewhere.
