If your the Nets...just stand

If your the Nets...just stand pat. They aren't a good team right now, I rather see them develop some of their players before moving them.

Haha. Knicksboy, sounds like

Haha. Knicksboy,

sounds like you're trying to tell them to stand PAT and pass up on trying to get 'Melo so the Knicks can snag him.
They don't really have any young players...
Brook Lopez, Derrick Favors, and Damion James.

Devin Harris is about to hit the prime years.

No, I've been back and forth

No, I've been back and forth on Melo honestly. I like Landry Fields and don't wanna give him up.

But I think the Nets should move Devin Harris and then get the younger guys some burn and stuff. Also, I disagree on the list. Morrow and Humpries are also pretty young. I think the rooks are unproven but should get more PT.

Aren't they both like 26?

Aren't they both like 26? Although everytime I look at a Nets games Humphries seems to be grabbing a good amount of boards and scoring too.
I haven't heard much of Morrow since signing with the Nets;
Although I think he's had a few huge games for the Nets..

come on who REALLY says "Jersey is an attractive place to play"

NO ONE wants to go play in jersey, its just not really an attractive place. Its a good place for young players to get a chance to play and learn how to play the game progressively but aside from that it doesnt offer much. That's why not even mid-level skilled players even went their as free agents in the past off-season. Aside from Chauncey's reasons which is because he's the hometown kid in Denver and he's found his comfort zone unless they become a proven winner I repeat NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY IN JERSEY. Even when J-Kidd was there in his prime.. JASON KIDD with a winning team he screamed for help but NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY IN JERSEY. Thats why he is no longer around and no one else is there. Thank You.

I do think they have a nice

I do think they have a nice young nucleus though and with all those draft picks they can produce the right type of players and develop a decent team that sort of grew up together like OKC or how Portland made its comeback into relevancy. Its just how well they use their draft picks via trades or drafting. No one REALLY wants to play in Jersey tho. the fans didn't even come to the games when they were winning. and moving to Brooklyn? are they trying to be the new clippers?

I don't know what we will do

I don't know what we will do with our picks, especially when we got an owner who overpays players like Travis Outlaw.

personally i think chauncy

personally i think chauncy would be sweet on the nets IF they also got melo... they would have chauncy, cdr/twill, melo, troy murphy(depending on if he got traded in the deal), and brook lopez... to me, that looks a lot better than the denver team without carmelo.... also this statement could come from chauncey being traded so much... he was on a BUNCH of teams before he found his home in detroit..

Honestly in most of the

Honestly in most of the scenario's I've seen thrown around, the Nets would be giving up Favors (who I see as a young Al Horford), Devin Harris and at least their first rounder this year (which should be a high one). I'm not even really counting Troy Murphy because he's just an expiring contract anyway.

The Nets would be gutting their future in order to get Carmelo, a great scorer no doubt but not the kind of player that makes his teammates much better. Surrounding Melo with Lopez, Morrow, Outlaw, Farmar and Humphries would be pretty ugly and would not put the Nets even remotely close to the level of Orlando, Boston, Miami or Chicago.

They should continue to build with the youth that they have and hope to grab a talented player in this year's draft; Terrence or Perry Jones or even Kyrie Irving and trade Harris while he still has nice value.

esperanzafleet69 dont 4get to add jason kidd kenyon martin vince carter and richard jefferson to your list with cdr/twill since all are gone so you should name them all so nets look nicer.
