    Toronto needs.
    -A True C
    -Rebounding
    -To Dump Turkoglu

    Charlotte Needs
    -Offense
    -A True PG

    TORONTO RECIEVES
    -Desanga Diop
    -Boris Diaw
    -DJ Augistine
    -Gerald Henderson

    CHARLOTTE RECIEVES
    -Hedo Turkoglu
    -Jose Calderon
-Marcus Banks/Reggie Evans (both expiring contracts around 5 Mil just depends on who C harlotte wnats)
Charlotte shows fans they are willing to gamble a bit and wont just start rebuilding but instead will continue to push in the east. They sure up the PG position and add scoring at the SF pushing Wallace to PF.

Toronto adds youth and a truie Big Man.Also shows they get a versatile player in Diaw whos contract ends before Turkoglus (thats all that matters as far as Diaws aspect is concerned).

These are all players each team doesnt necassarily need or want.

i think charlotte needs a true PF, wallace is 6’7” 225 and diaw is mediocre…they could use some size

Charlotte could use a better point but the major thing they need is big defensive big men, no more of these skinny jump shooters.

If I were Bryan Colangelo, I would seriously consider this trade. The talent Toronto receives is questionable, but the potential of Henderson and Augustin make up for that. While the Bobcats get two proven players in Turk and Calderon, the Raptors only get Diaw. But as I said, what Henderson and Augustin potentially could be make up for that. I also do like Diaw’s game and it fits the Raptors’ system well. My only concern is that this trade still doesn’t really cover Toronto’s biggest liabilities, defense and rebounding. I understand that Diop could cover those issues, but is he really going to be that starting centre that we want to play +30 minutes alongside Bargnani. he seems more of a back-up type Centre to me. We also know that diaw is not a defensive presence, nor a rebounder for that matter. I would want much better talent that would fill our needs if we were to give up the kind of talent that is Turk and Calderon. I understand that they are both expendable players and are difficult to deal considering their contracts, but I just think BC should be looking for more than that.
What I’m trying to say is that I like the trade, and I commend you on it Kush, but I just don’t think we are getting enough for what we are giving. I don’t have any suggestions right now, but i think that BC could be getting better assets as opposed to the ones offered in this trade. Just my two cents, appreciate any feedback on it:)

IMO this trade would be a good way to get rid of both contracts fast. My favourite options would be Turkoglu and Bellinelli for Pietrus and Gortat and Calderon for Chandler. Also you never know what BC has up his sleeve but too get rid of these contracts anyway you can would be great for rebuilding.

    Pietrus
    Gortat
    Chandler

    or

    Augistine
    Henderson
    Diop
    Diaw

Option 1 seems like the smarter move for contending for a playoff spot. Option 2 seems like a rebuilding mode with conteding possibillities.

Also Diop doesnt need to play 30 mpg because Amir Johnson and Ed Davis will gladly step in and give minutes at the 5 as will Bargnani.

Kush, I do agree with option 1 being more suited for a playoff contender, but I think it would be way more beneficial for the Raptors. I really would like Chandler on the team, he’s a good fit with Bargnani’s playing style (the only concern would be injury prone). Chandler really addresses the Raptors true needs in defense and boards. Pietrus would also be a good mentor for up and coming high flying wings like Weems and Derozan. And Gortat would offer as a good mentor to Bargnani to teach him the ways of physicality and just help him grow in general. As they are both Euro’s, I am presuming they would have a quick connection (no racism intended BTW). Pietrus and Gortat would also have a good effect on the whole team coming from a winning team such as that of Orlando.

After the Bosh trade and some Key FA signings I would be happy with this lineup…Lets see how much better BC is than me…

    Option one

Trade Turkoglu to Orlando and Calderon to Charlotte.
    for
Pietrus and Gortat from Orlando, and Chandler from Charlotte.

    10’11 Roster
    PG-Jack,Foye,Chalmers
    SG-Derozan,Weems,Stoudemire
    SF-Beasley,Pietrus,Wright
    PF-Bargnani,Davis,Beasley,
    C-Chandler,Gortat,Anthony,Alabi

Option two trade Turkoglu and Calderon to Charlotte.
    for
    Diop, Diaw, Henderson and Augistine

    PG-Jack,Augistine,Chalmers
    SG-Derozan,Weems,Henderson
    SF-Beasley,Wright
    PF-Diaw,Davis,Beasley
    C-Bargnani,Anthony,Diop,Alabi

Option 2 is more of a rebuilding option IMO option 1 gets into the playoffs.

All I know is if the Raps get good quick with one of these lineups, Toronto Miami will be a great rivalry.
