Charles Barkley calls Lebron a PUNK!!!

Barkley called Lebron's move to Miami a Punk move..

Thursday on ESPN Radio Barkley said''I heard about Lebron's little Tweet today that he'll remember everyone that had something bad to say about him..And he said'everybody''.
Well you can add me to that (list).
I thought his little 1 hour special was a punk move.
I thought them dancing around on stage was a punk move..It's disappointing to see him join Wade's team...

Barkley then went on to say he does TV every week Lebron knows where to find him...

Barkley might be right sometimes but he said out of his own mouth during the last few years of his career.. that he'll be willing to come off the bench of a team thats capable of winning a Ring..So he joined Hakeem's team in Houston...

1st of all this isnt Wade's team. The Miami Heat belong to Mickey Arison's team..And The Cavs belong to Dan Gilbert..

And should a guy that ran a stop sign ,Arrested for DUI and looking for a Hooker be giving anyone advice? Wasnt he afraid of contracting Aids? Or getting robbed ?

a lot of people are thinking

a lot of people are thinking right on charles. I like how he points out that lebron has too many yes men around him. If lebron didnt do an hour show, i wouldnt have too much bad to say about him over this. Also, i htought the whole miami introduction party was stupid as hell, but not sure anyone can pin that on lebron. Riley looked embarrassed when lebron was talking about wanting 8 rings.

I would rather have guys

I would rather have guys speak their minds about things like this then try and sugarcoat it for the media or so they don't hurt anybody's feelings.

Charles Barkley

is not a role model. Parents are role models.

But Parents can talk sh*t like Barkley. Everything he says is entertaining.

Damn this is why I love

Damn this is why I love Barkley. Guaranteed to be entertaining and upfront. I'd watch him commentating a game between the Nets and the Wolves and enjoy it.

This was kind of

This was kind of expected.
Also why is Lebron saying he wants 8 rings embarrassing, if Kobe said he wanted to win more rings than anyone ever ppl would say he wants to be the best. Give this guy a break and stop disecting everything he does.

Its embarrassing because they

Its embarrassing because they only signed 6-year deals and 8 years is a looong time in basketball. Wade will be 36 by then. And this is assuming no injury. He wasn't saying he wanted to win 8, he was saying that he was going to win 8, and he implied it would be 8 in a row. If you're going to make statements like that, I'm pretty sure they should be dissected.

Barkley is one of a kind.

One of the greatest characters in NBA history, he might not always be right but the man is outright funny and entertaining!

Lol Barkley never minces

Lol Barkley never minces words, that's the best thing about him. I KIND of agree with the setiment that I wish he stayed in Cleveland, but I won't lie that the Miami Heat will be the most exciting team to watch since the pre-Shaq Suns.

Charles

I will say he definitely speaks his mind, and it is his personal opinion. But the whole, "you know where to find me" thing, him sitting cushy in the studio, that is such a punk move. I am wondering what he will be saying this season if Miami does really well, because we all know he really wants to be right. But, the one thing I was thinking as well, was how about Scottie Pippen also going to the Rockets to try and make the super team with Charles and Hakeem? Michael said nothing about Scottie's lack of will to compete, it was not seen as that big of a deal. I know people will say it was a trade, but it was a sign and trade that landed the Bulls a second round pick and Roy Rogers, as Scottie was an unrestricted free agent. But, the fact that all of these guys could choose to play for a different team, that makes what they did wrong? As much as people would like to see these superstar, already established players (more Wade and LeBron than Bosh) lead seperate teams, they are upping the level of competition. The NBA used to have a few contending teams at the top every year, and they were jam packed with some of the best players in the game. They are playing a lot of Malone and Pippen footage, and the game where Karl Malone scored his career high of 61 versus Milwaukee, they interview him about how AC Green got the starting spot over him for the All-Star game. AC Green is not even a player that is talked about that much on those Lakers teams (unless its about ugliness, celibacy, other rumors and super christianity), and he was a starting All-Star! They had great teams back than! Their were fewer teams, and that of course led to a league with stronger teams at the top. This is something new, and like much of the old guard, some people will choose to fear change, and some will embrace it. My opinion is to embrace it, because it is not going to be done over. If it works, we will have teams assembled to try and better it, if it does not, than all the critics will be right to be as curmudgeonly as they all are at this point. Also, notice that Charles says he thought the way he did it was a punk move, and all the dancing etc., than takes a jab and goes the "Wade's team" route, but says nothing like the Michael Jordan "I was trying to beat those guys" type of thing. If during Michael's prime years, Magic and Larry had not been injured and their teams hence torn apart, would Michael maybe want to do something to compete? Look at the team in Los Angeles and Boston right now! They are not going to be easy to beat, they assembled teams with some very questionable trades on the behalf of other teams (mainly ALLEN (they got Jeff Green, not Kevin Durant), GARNETT, GASOL), but the way they did it was better, because the teams made the decisions rather than the players? Why aren't their more Chet Walkers out their, who are happy the players finally got to make some choices on their own behalf?

I used to like Barkley but

I used to like Barkley but now he is the one coming off as a punk cause he doesn't have a ring. Lebron never came at him and Barkley has yes men too so how is he is gonna act like he is anything better than Lebron. Also I think Lebron could take Barkley. Lebron is taller and bigger and has a longer reach and is in better shape. Barkley has become a studio gangsta.

Charles

Not to belabor the point, but Charles' opinions are usually worth listening to - whether we agree or not. There are many non-basketball related opinions he espouses that I cannot get behind, but big deal. Nice to see a public figure speak his mind instead of the standard cliches and innocuous comments.

I realize the ESPN interview was something different, but he is paid to comment on situations like this.

Another Charles Moment

My fave was when he called EJ the 'whitest man ever' on a halftime (or pregame) showon TNT. Too funny.

lol @jlv2010

calling somebody a coward over the internet and not in they face is a called a...? lol if you never played in the nba you really dont have an opinion thats why when the old players talk i give them a half ass ear. barkley is funny but stupid at the same time. i can listen to magic, jordan, pippen, guys that have one something talk about lebron but not a guy that hasnt won &$#%#&@! but a mvp trophy that he didnt deserve ( the league was tired of giving it to jordan) he is one of the greatest losers of all time along with malone, stockton, iverson etc.

Now on to the post

"Also why is Lebron saying he wants 8 rings embarrassing, if Kobe said he wanted to win more rings than anyone ever ppl would say he wants to be the best. Give this guy a break and stop disecting everything he does."

That's embarrassing to say because He ain't got 1 ring yet...Kobe has 5 and can easily win 2 to 3 more with the Lakers and 2 more stealing like Wade,Lebron and Bosh are trying to do....@ Mikey V...always playing devil's advocate

How is Barkley ripping

How is Barkley ripping anyone?

Did he not demand a trade from Philly?

Did he not leave the Suns go to Houston thinking they win a title?

GTFO Barkley.

@ Scarecrow

Always jumping on the hater band wagon with very little substance. Stealing rings? Is that not what Kobe maybe had in mind when he was drafted by the Hornets and than traded to a team that was going to get Shaquille O'Neal and already had two other All-Stars? Four All-Stars in his second year, Kobe started the game when he was coming off the bench. Well, I for one, do not blame Kobe for that and I do not blame LeBron for wanting to win with a great team. Pau Gasol trade my man. How is that not a conspiracy theory Scarecrow :)

Wait, is this the same

Wait, is this the same Barkely that went title hunting... IMO Barkely sounds like a jealous old man, why he didnt stay in Philly??? He went to a solid Suns team with couple all stars (KJ and Thunder Dan) and then he went to play with two future HOFers (Hakeem and Clyde)... Barkely is usually funny and says some crazy &$#%#&@!, but he seems like he MAD!!!!
