They beat the Number 1 seed and they won today…and their defense is absolutly amazing. They are finally all healthy with a bench finally playing like the bench they were hoping for. Why would they not be able to get it done?

I still feel like the magic will win. I don’t want to make excuses but Orlando came out really flat there in the first quarter with just 14 points. I’m not taking anything away from Boston they played suffocating defense and did what they shouldve which was jump on them early. Having said that, Orlando shot terribly from the floor and they didn’t get alot from anyone outside of Nelson and Carter which is something I don’t think Boston can count on consistently. Another thing I think that is important is that Boston has given up the most double digit leads thus year and that’s where their age shows. They take their foot off the accelerator and let teams back in and against Orlando I think it will haunt them as it almost cost them today. True while they weren’t scoring in the final minutes of the game their defense held up enough to not let Orlando take a lead but orlando was missing alot of shots that they normally make. Open to moderately contested looks that they hit on a consistent basis. Hats off to Boston in this one though they took care of business. I think Orlando wins the nest one and also one of two in Boston. I think it’ll go 7 and’ im giving it to Orlando. Lastly Boston had pierce and Allen scoring 20 apiece which is something that doesn’t happen a whole hell of a lot and still narrowly won. It’ll have to go just right for Boston to win whereas Orlando played terribly and still couldve won

Orlando is a team that lives and dies by the 3. Last year they lived on it big time…theyve been doing the same so far in the playoffs. I dont know if they will ever die by it, but if they are to lose, thats the reason. There are alot of teams that shoot alot of 3s, but when you watch the Magic…they shoot alot of good 3s. Because of their penetration and Howards kickouts (which is an underrated part of his game i think). today they shot some bad ones…ones where there was no ball movement or one pass and a shot. The Magic have to get the ball inside…inside out basketball is a beautiful thing, and the Magic do it very well…just not today.

I think they will win the series, but it wouldnt suprise me one bit if Boston did because I think they have been overlooked all year a bit, and are hungry again like they were in year 1.

If Boston stays healthy for the next month, I think they can be NBA Champs. If we’re crowning the Lakers WCC then I think the Celtics will beat them. Rondo will KILL fisher worse than Westbrook and Dwill. The Lakers will struggle when Rondo is on, he is an absolute killer.

I agree that Boston has a good chance with the Lakers. As does Orlando…unlike last year when the Lakers were much more dominant. Both PG’s would have a big advantage. And If Bynum keeps getting worse, that formidable Laker front line would have a gaping hole. I still think the Lakers will win it all, but I’m intrigued with the matchups in both series right now. And for the next series whoever gets there.

You dont live or die by the the 3. eventually you just die. name one team that relied on 3’s and won a title. Hate on Boston all you guys want but they won the chip in 08. say the big 3 are aging all you want but Rondo is 10 times better than he was in 08, the bench is MUCH deeper with an improved Glen Davis, Sheed, Finley, and a healthy Tony Allen who is playing out of his mind lately. They arent aging THAT much. they are sacrificing numbers as they did in 08 when it was just the big 3…but now you add a much much more improved Rajon Rondo and a better Perkins with better bench players and thye have to sacrifice even more. Injuries pleagued them in reg season but they are looking VERY good now. They took down the best team in the league so i dont know why its such a mystery why they cant beat a team that lives and dies (or just dies in my opinion) by the 3. It will be a tough series. the magic could win but i say celts in 6…as i said before the series started. and i think boston def has the advantage by stealing one in Orl

well one reason rondo wont KILL fisher is because if he gets too hot then kobe will check him and fisher will check allen which would be a better match up for the lakers anyway because kobe will rome and lil and help out on ray on the picks and let rondo beat them with the jumper. rondo isnt the biggest porblem for the lakers. the down low banging of perkins, wallace, big baby, and kg is.

Celtics will BEAT the Magic…. D Howard is SOFT and Perkins, Wallace, Big Baby, and Garnett will continue to play him physical and force him out his comfort zone (10 ft away from the rim instead of 5ft)… Howard will live on the freethrow line in this series because Boston isnt afraid to foul him early and often.. Rashard Lewis will continued to play soft because he cant handle banging as power foward defensively and it hurts his offense… Carter CANT consistently defend Pierce or Allen… Jameer Nelson is a BEAST but he doesnt get his teamates involved and in the long run its going to hurt the Magic… Boston has a better coaching staff and a better bench…

i sill say orlando wins. they dont need howard to be dominate on offense in order to win. just need him to rebound and block shots. one thing about orlando is they are very good at making game to game adjustments. with that said i wouldnt be suprised if boston wins

and the celtics arent good at making game to game adjustments? If coach Ron Jeremy can make adjustments im pretty sure Doc Rivers can too

Rondo will be able to get into the paint on Kobe, especially if Kobe roams. The Lakers might be best off giving Shannon Brown a bigger role. Rondo is not a non factor when the defense plays off him. If he was, he wouldn’t be scoring 18 ppg in the playoffs. He moves great without the ball, and pushes the ball up in transition. Plus, he has shot the ball well these playoffs. Kobe can defend well, but he doesn’t. In 2008, Ray Allen set a record for 3 pointers hit in the Finals and it didn’t even go 7 games! This is because Kobe expends more energy on the offensive end, and doesn’t care to play man defense. He really didn’t chase Allen around screens well in 08.

hold on now lets remember kobe wasnt guarding ray allen. Its not like ray had that huge scoring game on kobe. Derek fisher and sasha vujacic were given the task at guarding ray and they failed miserably. please tell me when he was chasing ray around on screens becuz i dont remember that. and u kno why? cuz it never happened!. he was roaming and shadowing rondo the entire series
