Celtics3178ParticipantThere’s no doubt in my mind that the celtics take Fultz with the number one pick. That leaves the celtics with a very crowded back court. The sixers have a very crowded front court and tons of cash. I have two ideas that I think work for both teams curious to hear people’s thoughts. The First is the celtics Trade AB Terry Rozier and the Grizzlies 2019 pick for the #3 pick. The Celtics get Fultz and Jackson or Tatum to add with Brown going Forward. It also frees up some cap space for a max and takes the burden of having to choose between IT and AB next year. For the sixers there’s no better player that isn’t a super star that will fit in with there core better then AB. He is a good leader, Argueably the best perimeter defender in the league. His offense is improving he makes awesome cuts and can play off the ball letting Ben Simmons run the offense. He can guard any PG in the league. Terry Rozier would instantly be their best guard off the bench -and proved he can run an NBA offense this post season. Getting AB would also help any FA who was thinking about going there a little easier. A lot of rumors about Lowry going back. To his home town. Lowry AB Simmons saric Embidd would be a solid starting 5 imo playoff bound in the east. With Rozier Covington and Okafor who I think can be a decent role player off the bench. My other idea is much more simple Rozier and a pick for Okafor. I think Okafor and Rozier are both hindered by the depth of their current rosters. I think both would benefit from a new team. I’m sure most people will disagree but with the new nba I think Okafor will always be a role player so Rozier has more upside in this situation.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantNo way in hell do the 76ers trade their 3rd overall pick and a player like Okafor to their Atlantic Division Rivals in Boston, and for a guy who’ll be a Free agent after next season and a young player we don’t need in Rozier…
Let me break it down for you…
The 76ers would flirt with the Idea of trading to 1 IF the Pick wasn’t owned by Boston, never do you make a deal with a Division Rival, not if you want to keep your job at least…
The 76ers are poised to take the BPA or trade DOWN with Sacramento or Orlando for their 5th or 6th pick respectively
I’ve even heard rumors they are trying to land a suitor for Jahlil and a few future first picks (LA in 2018 and Sacramento in 2019) If it’ll land them a solid starting G or F (Covington may price himself of the team if he asks for more than 10 to 12 million per in the off season)
Boston is facing a big dilemma, if they take Fultz, they can kiss Thomas goodbye, they may also have to let Bradley and Smart go too (they’re drafting Fultz to replace Thomas and Smart and using the Bradley money on Hayward by all accounts)
So if and when they draft Fultz, its the first domino to fall, 2nd is IT wanting a trade out of Boston, and finding a willing trade partner with Avery Bradley, unless they plan on losing him for nothing in FA, these moves need to happen before FA in July mind you, they have to clear cap space to land Gordon and another star via Trade
So what’s Danny gonna do?
He drafts BPA in Fultz and runs IT and AB outta Bean Town?
Or does he put their minds at ease and either A) Trade the Pick for Butler or George or a Defensive C like Drummond or Jordan
OR does he take a flier on Josh Jackson to play SG/SF and only run the risk of losing Bradley and Crowder via FA and Trade? Brown and Jackson would make for one dynamic duo of defensive/offensive guys under 22
OR does he trade Down for a shooter like Monk at 5 and a defensive F/C like WCS as a throw in along with the 10th pick, which they can still package with Thomas and pieces for a Star C like Drummond?

jpmarksParticipantPhilly passes on these deals but your extreme ignorance on what the Celtics would do is astounding. IT ans Fultz can play together. IT isn’t demanding a trade when the Celtics draft him. IT, Ainge, Fultz, and all EXPERTS see no problem with them playing together. That Kings suggested trade is trash. Ainge wouldn’t do it. Don’t take breaks from work to push that junk.

cohenbc1ParticipantIT says he and Fultz talk all the time (they’re both from Seattle area) and are excited about becoming teammates.
If I were Ainge, no way do I trade AB unless I’m getting an all-star back. Lockdown defenders who can score 20+ in playoff games are extremely valuable.
Rozier’s likely the odd man out, and trading him for future picks or a random shot-blocker makes sense. But there’s plenty of minutes to go around for an IT/AB/Smart/Fultz backcourt, unless Fultz justifies getting 30 minutes a night right out of the gate (doubtful on a championship-contending team). Do the math: there’s 96 minutes between two guard positions. That equals 30 for IT, 30 for AB, 30 for Smart and 18 for Fultz, with Smart playing 12 minutes per night as a small-ball forward.

negguaryParticipantdraft fultz to play 18 minutes

cohenbc1ParticipantIn his rookie season? I disagree. When you’re a #1 seed and a championship contender, that’s about how much you play a rookie … any rookie. If he goes to the Lakers or the Sixers, absolultely, play him as much as he can handle and let him learn from his mistakes. But this is an unusual situation.
Kobe averaged 16 mpg his rookie season.

Dell87ParticipantDo the sixers really need another lottery pick? Isn’t it time for them to add an established veteran to that young team. ? I’m not saying Bradley is the answer but at what point do they start thinking about adding a good/all star type vet to galvanize those young guys,? Just asking

nill650ParticipantCeltics are keeping Fultz at 1 unless they can get PG13 for the pick.
Even that is a questionable move, as Fultz projects to be a better longterm prospect than even PG13 is.
If they trade Bradley it would be as part of a deal to get PG13 without giving up the #1.
PG13 will leave in FA if he is not traded so INDY has there back up against the wall. I think they would be forced to accept a deal involving Bradley if it also gets them Brown and Rozier.
Sure INDY would want the #1 pick, but they are not going to get a haul like that and the #1.
Boston might be wiling to part with Zeller and Crowder and the #1 for PG13 but I doubt INDY would go for it without a fringe allstar return like Bradley instead of Crowder.
My guess is Fultz is a celtic next season and PG13 is not.

binetParticipantYou are considerably undervaluing the 3rd pick. No way that pick is going anywhere for a non all star caliber player. So, barring a trade for a current all star, a should be all star like Bradley Beal or a specific trade up/down within this draft, it stays with Philly.
Okafor is not hindered by the depth in his roster. Being outplayed by Rishaun Holmes is not really a "depth" situation, Rishaun would be the third or fourth center on most teams in this league. It’s mostly fit, and partly that he is just way less talented than what he was heraleded to be in 2015.

Dell87ParticipantYou obviously didnt fully read my post. I said trade for a good/allstar type player . Meaning that , they trade the pick for an allstar player or a good player thats on his way to being an all star. Ex. Jimmy butler, Avery Bradley , kemba walker Ricky rubio Eric bledsoe or someone of that nature
