    The Celtics have the third best record since the all-star break in the NBA.  Garnett has moved to the 5 and has been playing great.  What has been the difference and could they make a run to the NBA finals?

    I don’t think so.  While this is quite the resurgence by them I think the farthest they get is the Conference finals.  I can’t see them beating both the Bulls and Heat in a 7 game series.

    Wow, I was just about to make a forum about the Celtics possibly being championship contenders. In their past three games (@ Indiana, VS. Philadelphia, @Miami), they’ve won those three by a combined 46 points, which is very impressive. The emergence of two young players, Avery Bradley and Greg Stiemsma are pivotal in the Celtics success. If they can continue to give them good minutes off the bench like they have been, that will be a huge boost. If the adage of “defense wins championships is true,” then the Celtics should give the teams in the East a run for their money in the East, becuase they currently have the #3 ranked defense in terms of points allowed per game.

    The Celtics have prideful vets and I think Brandon Bass has been a great pick up for them.  He is a huge upgrade over Glen Davis and Garnett can move to the 5, where he has been playing terrific.  Avery Bradley has given them a great lift with his defense.  I don’t know if they could take the Heat or Bulls in a seven game series, but I would definitely give them a shot.

    The only way I think the Celtics can make a finals run is if Derrick Rose cant stay healthy and if LeBron James has another series where he disappears in the 4th quarter.
