Tight ButtholeParticipantIf Barnes and Beal end up being drafted at 2 & 3, what does Cleveland do? Its been reported they they love both players, but with them both being potentially gone, do they go for MKG or to they take a chance on turning Drummond and turn him into their project?
Of course there’s always the options of trading picks and what not, but with that being so hard to predict, I figure they’ll stay at 4 and be picking between MKG and Drummond. What do you guys think they’ll do in the given scenario?

TyroberParticipantThey would pick MKG in that case, but it looks like Barnes is going to be a Cav imo.

sammybuckeye13ParticipantI refuse to believe that the Bobcats are really considering Barnes as highly as Robinson and MKG at #2. His athleticism testing may have been impressive but he showed little of that in two years as a starter at UNC, settling possession after possession to shoot and shoot while only being successful as he was with Marshall, one of the best passers to pass through the college ranks in decades, running the show. He is not the prospect that Robinson or MKG is. The Bobcats want to get better and Barnes’ ability to score (which isn’t even as great as Robinson) just isn’t good enough. Robinson willed Kansas to the national title game, has great physical tools, from strength to length to leaping ability, and his continued rapid increase in production, up to 18&12 last year, shows that he should become an elite PF. MKG has too much heart and too much basketball ability, demonstrated game after game, to disappoint any teams that draft him. Barnes’ shooting ability and his bloodlines at UNC are all that have him in the conversation at #2 and I refuse to believe he’ll go over the more deserving T-Rob or MKG.

220ParticipantMy personal opinion is that they take MKG. The label on him is he’s a winner and willing to do whatever it takes. The Wiz have Nene locked up for a few years and just added Okafor to a slew of big men on their roster so I don’t think they take Drummond.

Wahoo757ParticipantThey’d go with Andre Drummond. Just look up Andre Dummond on google and it’s filled with articles of how much Cleveland’s front office loves him and have him rated higher than Barnes.

GrandfiNalley101ParticipantGilchrist played with Kyrie in high school and Kyrie loves him and is the face of the franchise. I heard the Cavs also liked Jeremy Lamb. I think that is too high for him in this draft as of today but they locked in on Tristan last year when nobody thought he would go there. All of this is in case Beal and Barnes are gone of course.

BA30ParticipantSince this is hypothetical I will keep it brief in terms of it being unlikely CHA takes Barnes over Robinson. In the scenario where we are stuck at 4, I would take Drummond. You know that Portland is high on him and that could open up a trade for 6 and 11. If it doesn’t, we are stuck with a project at center for a few years. I believe Drummond will mature into a top 5 NBA center, but we will have to be patient. In the scenario where we take Drummond, we have to package current/future picks to move back into the lottery. We need to snag a shooter like Terrence Ross or Austin Rivers.
